Sonia's ring?

Just a quick question. Is Sonia's wedding ring Ethel's? I know the ring was something special between her and Jamie. But did Sonia use it as her wedding ring or engagement ring with Martin? I really can't remember. Do you remember if Martin asked Jim's permission before he asked Sonia to marry him, because I seem to remember Jamie doing it? It's not important, just something I would like an answer too, anyone got any ideas?

I dont remember Martin asking permission from Jim. The ring ...when Jamie died. Sonia was nursing a young guy that had,had a accident. The guy was very ill and his girl friend was there all the time,but he was going to get better,and they were getting married. :) Sonia gave them the ring as it was eant to be a wedding ring for two people that were truly in love.

I really love Martin and Sonia's marraige, but I don't think it would have been right for them to use the ring Jamie gave to Sonia when they got engaged. Ethel's ring was symbolic of Jamie and Sonia's relationship and the love they shared. Martin and Sonia's marraige is something different, it's still special and just as important, but unique.
