Ex-Hear'Say member Kym Marsh is due to take a cameo role in BBC's Holby City in her bid to make it in the acting business.

The singer will play the girlfriend of a man brought into the cardiac ward according to The Sun. The episode has already been filmed, and is set to air in the spring.

An insider is quoted as saying that Marsh was "excellent - a great actress," and that the singer wanted to "concentrate on acting for the time being.

"The pop world is cut-throat but acting suits her lifestyle because she can spend time with her kids."

This is not Marsh's first medical cameo - Kym also recently took a role on daytime ITV show Doctors.

as long as it's only a cameo i would stop watching if she was in it even longer
