Kevin and Sally continue to heal the rift with Rosie
8th January 2006 at 19:30 on ITV1

Ken is struggling with Eccles who seems to have totally taken against him. Blanche, of course, has her own theory that Ken’s negative personality is to blame for the dog’s distrust of him, but Ken is determined to win Eccles round.

Adam is bemused when Mike acts as though nothing has happened. But when he reminds his dad of his wild accusations, Mike stands by his original decision and asks him to leave. Danny, meanwhile, is starting to feel a twinge of guilt over his manipulation of such an obviously sick man but Leanne has no such qualms and tells him he has done the right thing. So when Mike asks Danny to post a letter to Mark it is obvious he has no intention of doing so.

Kevin and Sally are trying to build bridges with Rosie and she tries to convince them that they can trust her. Meanwhile, Sophie is delighted when Hayley comes to her rescue over the bra dilemma.

Fred is growing increasingly concerned about going on the cruise with Bev and eventually bottles out. Bev puts a brave face on it but is upset that she will be playing gooseberry to Liz and Vernon.

Elsewhere David is struggling to come to terms with Gail’s relationship with Phil.

Phil lashes out at David
9th January 2006 at 19:30 on ITV1

David is in a bad mood with everyone – especially Phil. His childish behaviour is beginning to grate on Phil who makes it clear to Gail that he doesn’t think she should stand for it. Gail is still not keen to come down hard on David though and he comes home demanding food and ruining Gail and Phil’s cosy evening in. Phil is furious and when Gail nips out to get some chips for her son, Phil decides it is time to teach the teenager a lesson.

Danny is delighted to learn that Adam is leaving Weatherfield but Mike is surprised and troubled when Ken tells him the news. It is clear he is losing his grasp on his empire and his family.

As the girls in the salon discuss Christmas it becomes clear that Maria was spoilt rotten by Tyrone but not vice versa. Maria is shamed into giving Tyrone a special treat and as he heads for the salon he eagerly anticipates what she has in mind. Meanwhile, Molly persuades Tyrone to enter himself and Maria for the Gazette’s ‘Surprise the Bride’ competition.

Sunita is struggling to cope with getting the buggy up the stairs to the shop flat and that’s before the babies have even arrived. Dev is keen to help but she won’t let him anywhere near her. Amber, however, is keen to try and get to know her dad.

Gail chooses to believe Phil over David
9th January 2006 at 20:30 on ITV1

David is stunned and shaken by Phil’s violent outburst and as an unsuspecting Gail arrives back from the chippie David wastes no time in telling her about the attack. A calm and collected Phil admits to shouting at David but denies laying a finger on him. To David’s dismay Gail accepts Phil’s version of events and it is clear that David is not going to forgive him in a hurry.

Tyrone’s screams reverberate around the street – his ‘treat’ at the salon has not turned out to be quite what he expected. He goes through hell and back as she strips his torso bear of hair. He’s aghast when she tells him his next treat will be eyebrow plucking.

Ken is at his wits’ end with Eccles who has now chewed his wallet, but Deirdre is bonding with her and finds her easier to talk to than the rest of her family!

Elsewhere, Ed asks Eileen out and she accepts, whilst Craig and Rosie manage to grab some precious time together.

Mike becomes even more confused
11th January 2006 at 19:30 on ITV1

Tyrone is feeling uncomfortable to say the least but it is clear Maria has not finished with him yet. Meanwhile, Tyrone discovers that they have made it through to the next round of the Gazette competition and has to try and get a photo from Maria without her suspecting anything.

Mike is confused when he gets a credit card bill for a ring he doesn’t remember buying. He finds the ring and shows it to Danny and is more confused when Danny tells him it isn’t the ring he gave him at New Year. What is happening to Mike?

As her due date gets closer, Sunita is growing more and more anxious. She is touched when her friends present her with a pregnancy pampering hamper but facing the birth alone is a daunting prospect. However, when Dev asks her to tell him when she goes into labour she isn’t prepared to compromise.

Phil tries to make amends with David but the boy’s not having it. Gail is pleased with how open minded Sarah is being about her and Phil’s relationship.

Sunita gives birth
13th January 2006 at 19:30 on ITV1

Dev is desperate to make amends with Sunita but she is not interested, so later when her contractions begin he is the last person she wants around her. As things progress in the delivery suite she is pleased Shelley is the one by her side but she changes her tune when Dev arrives and decides she wants him to see what she is going through. As the babies arrive, it is an emotional moment and as the midwife captures the family group on camera Sunita even manages a smile.

Frankie is curious as Carol makes a mystery phone call and refuses to tell her who it was. Convinced it was Jamie, Frankie grills Carol and is stunned when she accuses her of trying to seduce her son and take him off her in the same way she did Danny!

Ken agrees to try again with Eccles after some badgering from Blanche and Deirdre who are convinced that the problem lies with Ken and not the dog.

Elsewhere Eileen and Ed get on like a house on fire.

I do feel that her illness effects Jamie a lot, but I do think she loves him. It's not fair the way she keeps going on about him and Frankie though, she's just jumping to conclusions, maybe the right ones, but it's still out of order.

I quite like Carol being in it. I think her and Frankie's realtionship is quite funny, and they both have Danny in common.

Corrie wasted a great oppourtunity to cover alchoholism by using a character that no-one likes or cares about
