Problem i have chance, is that even though Ci is the size of a 5 yr old (at 3!) he has decided that he won't eat anything. The only thing he will touch is sausages, small bits of chicken and choc spread (which I have banned). So slightly concerned as he hasn't eaten properly since before xmas. Over xmas he has pretty much got away with eating all the bad stuff he wants, but either side of it, he hasn't really eaten anything....

i shouldnt worry too much, doesnt sound as if hes wasting away and as long as he is eating something surely thats all that matters,i know its not ideal that he seems to be taking a liking to the 'bad foods' and a disliking to the 'good foods' but wont he eat sausages with say..mash? so at least then hes getting a proper meal or does he just want sausages?

he wont touch any form of spuds at all, not even chips!! I have tried food colouring, making pictures/faces with his food, but to no avail :(

connor went through a stage of just eating chicken nuggets and beans and sausages. to be honest i wasnt really worried as long as he was eating and after a few weeks he started eating normally again. At the momment he not eating well at all tells me his tummy hurts after eating a mouthful, ive stopped his treats so am hoping that the lack of nice things will make himeat agin

The main problem was that he wasnt eating anything but choc spread, either in a sarnie or on toast - im hoping he'll grow out of it, which i expect he will, but he hasn't eaten properly now for about a month, which is slightly concerning...

We have progress - for the last couple of days Ci has actually eaten!! He's had toast or cereal for brekkie, ham sandwich an apple and some grapes for lunch and then home made chicken nuggets and potatos for tea! :cheer:

How long will it last though she asks herself?!

the main thing is that he hasn't taken one look at his food this week and immediately said "i don't like that" without even trying it - he has gone the opposite again, although we have been saying to him that he has grown some more, each time he eats, so maybe that is helping

charley did that when we were away for christmas, everything that she was given was "i don't like that" and she just ate toast... I had to take her to mcdonalds on the 3rd day as she was straving.. poor pet.

As a much older mum,I can assure you no child will strave them self,if they only eat toast so be it,but don't ever give in and give mc donalds, which in my opinion is only rubbish food any way, or sweets, as each time they want to get your attention, they will stop eating,so they get a treat, children are at the end of the day very clever little people.

I am glad he has eaten again,I know from experience that it works if you don't give in.I refused to give in Hazey - having removed all things sugary from the cupboard, I wasn't going to let him start eating it again, but i was concerned that he wasn't eating enough. But having him drink lots of milkshakes I sort of knew that he was getting a good amount of nutrients, so waited till he came round to my way of thinking really. I think the fact that we keep saying to him that such and such will make him taller, something else will make him healthy etc helps too
