Rap star Obie Trice was taken to hospital early Saturday after being shot at while driving in Detroit.

According to the AP, a person in another vehicle shot through the back window of his car as he drove down the Lodge Freeway. Trice managed to continue driving the car off the freeway before his girlfriend, who was unharmed, flagged down police.

A hospital spokesman confirmed that Trice had been treated and released but refused to comment on where the bullet had struck the rapper.
