NB , Kath (chole O'brien) and me have been chatting about having another soapboards meeting soon. oh and possibly Trinity (not sure if we have actually asked her yet but im sure she'd be up fot it)
Thought we would start this thread asking if anyone around the areas of glasgow/edinburgh is willing to come along???
We're not sure on the date and place at the moment but we would love for as many people as possible to turn up and a right good knees up :D
just let us know if you fancy coming along and we'll update this thread with the date and place a.s.a.p

A girl who went to my school (she was a sixth former before I joined, though) threw herself off Beachy Head, for no reason. She had a seemingly happy life etc. and randomly wrote in her note that she WAS happy, but that she simply had no desire to continue living. It's so sad. :(

His parents are the chefs there and boy do they know how to cook up a curry!
I've tried most of the restaurants around Livingston and they were average. Infact, so average, I've started to cook my own curries.
do they do continental food lol - im sssooo fusy in what i eat - not that it wont be good food just that in fusy

I think that you are being v. kind to call the Indian restaurants in Livi average. The word I would use starts with c and ends in p.
And you are right, the other restaurants are rubbish too, although the best ones are Chinese.

I've met 2 of you from Soapbaords, and have webcamed with quite a few of you, but it's always interesting to see and hear what people sound like when your used to just chatting on here.
Well, on Sat, I will be braving Birmingham (ok with my mum lol I know) and Bry and I are meeting up again (don't forget you are meeting me outside the Uni Bry or I'll get lost!!!) so if anyone is in the area and fancies meeting the wonderful Bry and me that would be good. Its not often I'm let out without the sprogs so make the most of it!!! :rotfl:

i can only think of 3 people from wales on here? i think its likely to be very difficult to meet up with people unless they live in the same area as you cos of travelling distance etc which is a shame

Well that's four weeks away so hopefully we can get something arranged over the next couple of weeks. A weekend meet would be better for me but if its better for everyone else to meet on a weekday then I will take an annual leave day.

He's in Scotland from Saturday 17 March to Friday 23 March so any day then suits me. If we are meeting on a week day I will take a holiday from work as I don't have to pick up Marley from the after school club until 4.30 weekends are fine as my niece will look after her.
if we could arrange a date i'll put in for a holiday i need to put it in 14 days notice for a holiday and im working on all of those days

Alan do you want to pick a day when you want to meet us wonderful scottish girls, as my work is pretty flexible on me taking days off so I don't need to give much notice, but if you have things planned for when you are up here I can arrange my time around you.

Has to be somewhere either in Wales or really near Wales for me. Which I can get to by train too :p. Would also have to be in the Summer - as I'll have money then. But I'm up for it :p

Same here, thats what I was thinking in Feb half term, it give people time
I can't make any promises about Brum, don't know when I'll be having a break from uni, but if I can make it then I will!
If we do it in birmingham its a better meeting spot cos the train station and stuff

I might be able to do Birmingham, but it depends on nearer the time...it's a maybe.
I know a few people have said birmingham is a possible option but also in feb half term there is gonna be a veyr chance Im gonna be in the North east, so I can meet people in newcastle/sunderland and surrounding areas :)
