Louis Walsh has said that he will not do another series of The X Factor unless his pay is doubled.

Walsh was said to be "fuming" after he discovered that he was the lowest paid of the three judges on the show's panel. Simon Cowell apparently raked in a huge £400,000 just for appearing on the show, let alone producing it, and Sharon Osbourne made £250,000 - both moguls making vastly greater sums than Walsh.

A source told The Sun: "Louis is devastated he has not been financially rewarded for his role. He claims he has played a bigger part in the two runs than Sharon. Louis believes he has only been getting paid half of what Sharon has been getting and he would rather not be involved any more if he is not going to be fairly treated."

Louis' act, Shayne Ward, beat both Sharon and Simon's acts to win the last series of X Factor and is currently topping the charts with That's My Goal.

i do not blame him!

the amount of verbal he has to put up with! i think its digusting that they are paid different amounts...they are all as important as each other and should get paid the same amount

infact simon shouldnt get paid a penny as he gets record contracts out of all the shows stars so he rakes it anyway!

after all shayne won this year, and the most sucessful act last year were G4, both managed by Louis!

Sharon and Louis should get the same amount of money- i give you that much. But i think you saying that Simon shouldn't get anything is completly unjustified. He is the executive producer of the X Factor. He has put more time, money and energy into the show as a whole than any of the judges. And then on top of that, he's a judge! At the end of the day, he might rake the money in from record contracts, but he has to work for it. He doesn't just get given it all! Surely you agree that more work deserves for money?
