A new poll has voted Tom Cruise as both the biggest film actor of the year and also the most irritating.
A poll of 10,000 film fans by Empire magazine put Cruise top of the list for biggest star, with Marilyn Monroe and Robert De Niro close behind.

4. Al Pacino
5. Marilyn Monroe
However, Cruise was also named most irritating actor, which assistant editor Ian Freer believes "may be a knee-jerk reaction to his year in the spotlight."
Earlier this year, Cruise got engaged to Batman Begins star Katie Holmes, who later fell pregnant. He caused controversy by belittling actress Brooke Shields for her approach to post-natal depression, and told the world about his Scientologist beliefs
