do you think jake and dawn make a cute couple (if they get togther) do you think the will be sweet togther like him and chrissie whos best suited for him chrissie or dawn personly i think it was chrissie but what do you guys think ????

I think if Dawn and Jake do get together it would be a very casual relationship, at least at first.

I don't think Jake and Chrissie's relationship would have worked even if they had got away. Maybe if they'd got together under different circumstances -- if Chrissie hadn't killed Den, and if they hadn't have had to go on the run in order to be together. But as it was, it wouldn't have worked, especially with Chrissie in prison. In the end, splitting up was the best thing for Jake and Chrissie. Also Chrissie treated him like crap, even if she didn't intend to. (If she did or not is debatable I think).

Plus I didn't like how Jake was used in the last few weeks of the Den storyline, and I think the character is working well out of the relationship -- in particularly the recent scenes with Alfie.

Right now I think Jake needs a fun, casual relationship, so I think Dawn is better suited to him. But then I'm a big fan of Dawn, so maybe I'm biased, :lol: I'm looking forward to seeing how/if it develops though. :)

lol i'm only joking - i actually prefer him with chrissie, i dont like dawn very much and he looks a lot older than her.

Even before Dawn came into Enders I said that it would be nice for her to be Jakey's next girlfriend but only on a casual basis. It would suit both of them to have a "convenient" friendship which would allow both to see other people and sleep together when they fancied it.

I don't think you can really compare them anyway. Jake/Dawn would be a completely different sort of relationship than Jake/Chrissie was. It's not like we're going to have a triange like Kat/Alfie/Little Mo, or the Sharon/Dennis/Zoe one either.

My take on it is that I liked Jake/Chrissie but that's over so I'll remember it fondly but still look forward to what's coming next for Jake.

I do think she can be a bit up herself, and can see why this would make people not like her, even hate her.

For me though, she's endearing enough to get away with it. :lol: Unlike Zoe, who was also selfish and self-centered, Dawn's honest about it. Zoe whined and made herself a victim. Dawn doesn't. In my mind Dawn says "Yeah, I love myself, I think I rock, that's me, deal with it."

She obviously cares deeply about her mother, and doesn't like to see her treated badly, she's happy to see her father and missed him a lot when he left the family, and she also showed Gus some loyalty when she tried helping out with Wellard. She's one of those people who if she cares about you she'll be fiercely protective but if she doesn't...well, screw them. There just isn't enough people around yet that she does care about so we haven't seen much of it yet.

Maybe I'll be proved wrong, maybe she'll screw everyone over including Jake. But based on what I've seen so far, that's my take on her, and I love her. :)

its been building for a fair while, so i presume they will get it together, altough ive heard rumours or Martin and Dawn having an affair, and the fact that the soap mags confirm Martin will have an affair...

i think dawn dosent settle for anyone, he has to have some kind of sophistication, and i think jake is the same. i think they both just want a bit of fun but i could develop to more, they are roughly the same age and both have that something extra about them than other characters on the show, in my opinion its a good pairing, but i cant really imagine jake at the millers, but saying that Dawn seems out of place amongst the group of tramps! :lol:

Yeah... they look good and seem good... but after yesterday's episode not sure.. I thought MAYBE (don't know why) Dawn would have gave the rest of they money to Jake.. but instead wanted 1/3!!

I don't think Dawn keeping the money is out of character. Yes, it's doesn't exactly give her a glowing reference, but I think her handing it back over to a guy she's only spoken to a few times would be more out of character. She did get the entire Square to pay for a boob job. If her and Jake were in a relationship and she kept the money I'd have a problem with it, but as it stands now I don't.

Plus this money storyline is boring the hell out of me and I'm only paying attention because it involves Jake, :lol:

Me neither. He's just not that interested since Chrissie finished with him. I'd say there's more chance of something happening between Stacey and Jake than there is between Dawn and Jake, and even that is not going to happen.

I disagree. I think Jake's working better than ever now the Den storyline is over with. He's actually interacting with other characters, instead of being confined to having every scene with Chrissie. There were some great scenes with Alfie before Alfie left, and some good insights into Jake's character (particularly the episode Nana died.)

I do think something will happen with Dawn, whether it's a quick fling, a one-night stand or something longer. They've made a point of bringing it in, they aren't going to do that for nothing.

Jake and Dawn are both bland enough for each other, I think they'd probly make a better couple than him and Chrissie did because Chrissie was a much more strong exciting character while Jake was an emotionless plank. He should suit Dawn alright though.
