I finally got around to seeing this film yesterday and i dont believe it was worth the film.

The film was good, no escpaing it, but the amount of media frenzy and reviews wasnt worth it, not an enjoyable experience: 3 and a half hours in the cinema! (you dont see the ape until 1 and a half hours in) and at the end i didnt feel as tough id been challenged, i had no unaswered questions or it hadnt changed my life, which is the sign of a good film in my opinion

what did you guys think of it?

The opening hour was too dragged out, but the island scenes were brilliant, especially the fighting.

I don't think it was meant to be a deeply philosophical movie - except I want to know htf they managed to get that massive gorilla in the boat.

anotehr thoing that annoyed me was whole similar the woman looks like sarah manners! thats all that run trough me head every time i saw her

i haven't seen the film yet but i think a lot of people will go and see it cause the director made Lord of the Rings and they may be expecting the same euphoria and hype that happened when LOTR was released. But they will never be able to acheive what they done with LOTR. Also the graphics done kong were done by the same guy who did golum (Andy Serkis) who was robbed of an oscar for that role

we're going to see it tonight and I'm looking forward to it but three and a half hours is a long time, by the time I get to the end I'm scared I'll have forgotten the beginning and will wonder what I just did with nearly four hours of my life
