i have just told computer to disable protection after trying evrythoing else and now im able to come on here and view any other site

why is this?? what do i have to do so i can have norton running and also view internte???

im having withdrawas from my fave website in the world

erm... there was an issue with XP service pack 2 and norton working together... make sure you have the wondows security centre firewall stuff disabled. if this doesn't work i don't know what will

Working hard.

Anyway I agree disconnect the windows firewall and use Norton's own. Try that. Sometimes its difficult to get on to Norton to update :)

Debs.. try this:

First: Click Start -> Run, Then type

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\atl.dll
and hit OK

Second:
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\hnetcfg.dll
and Hit OK

make sure they say sucessful and then try your firewall setting again.. Failing that, get adware instead

i had something like this wrong this morning but i use mcafee. everything was connected but i could not access the internet at all. i ended up uninstalling mcafee. i know a stupid thing to do but i really need my internet working as tax deadline upon us. should i just go out and buy more antivirus software or do i need to get computer looked at?
