Elsewhere, Pauline is keen to get the Christmas decorations up but fails to interest Martin and Sonia, who are arguing again. Pauline also wonders if she should tell them about yesterday's visit…

Kat worries about Alfie as he hasn't opened his stall, but a devastated Alfie is at home listening to Nana's voice on the answering machine.

Martin, meanwhile, feels uncomfortable when he is out with Sonia's friends, who make him feel even more alienated.

Elsewhere, the Miller's survey their tatty Christmas decorations. Keith suggests making their own but Darren comes up with a plan.
