And 9 years on your own is a long time - Joe is such a lovely guy, and he brings out the best in Pauline from what we have seen so far - I think they make a great couple...

Absolutely! Joe is really kind to her, and they are lovely together. He's a great edition to the Fowler family. Arthur was a big part of Pauline's life but even he had his faults, nobody is perfect. This is a new relationship for her, it's different, but I think it's very special.

pauline doesnt deserve him. he's been so nice to her and all she can ever do is tell him to get lost. he should marry someone more suited to him - if dot weren't married to jim then i think she would work better

I think the thing to remember is that Pauline has been on her own for 9 years and even her beloved Arthur had an affair - she is pushing Joe away because she is scared of letting her guard down and letting him in to her life IMHO - she doesn't want to risk getting hurt again...its understandable..

Aaw, bless! I think Pauline and Joe are sweet together - he manages to keep her looking slightly less down in the dumps than usual. Valentine's Day does seem a bit soon though - I thought Pauline would want to take things much slower. She's not exactly the most impulsive person in the world, is she?
