Yep still getting bigger too it seems, i can't see clearly enough to see if the emergency services are there or not yet though

be careful there is not another explosion...
they said that it is so big that itmay just have to burn itself out!!! couldnt that take days
I think all the tanks have been drained that are not on fire. We had the police here this morning and there's no immediate plans to evacuate at the moment. Believe me if i thought for one minute they were lying you wouldn't see me for dust. I'd be running down the M1 faster than any of the cars
ewwww no they haven't been drained, it's on the news now that there are still full tanks and fire crews are creating a blanket of water between them and the fire to stop them from catching...maybe i will start running soon

has the smoke even cleared yet.. I know yesterday it wasn't shifting at all
There's no wind, it's just hanging there. It's really weird because it looks like it's just a dark day. Wouldn't be so surreal if you could actually see some of it breaking up.

It sounds and looks really bad, I just hope everyone around there is ok.
It's still going strong and they've evacuated half of our offices. Our wages department is in the buildings next to the refinary and they went up in flames. Non of us will get paid on time this month which is a bit of a nightmare !!!

Did anyone see the pics in the paper? The smoke covered the entire London skyline!
I didn't see any of that smoke, even though i heard and felt it. I was wondering it they exagerated the pictures, as it was just a dull day where i am!!

My niece lives close to there.. I haven't hear anything from her yet.. will check with my sister again today
Mind you, i am on the other side of London from the Docklands and Canary Walarf...
It just looks like it's a dull dark day. There's no news filtering through to us on when it's going to be out. I think they're fighting a losing battle at the moment.
Apparently most of the fire is out, but the biggest one of the fires is still going. They say that it will still be dangerous, if not more, when it is out, as the cloud of gas will cool down, and fall in the rain to earth, so a lot more pollution and stuff will happen. I'd stay indoors if i were you!!
