No way they have no legal rights over her they signed over any rights five years ago the poor girl should be left where she is and to grieve in peace for her parents BLOOD does not instantly make you a mother and a father it's who did the caring and the looking after the child that makes people parents
Rebecca will always be Martin and Sonia's daughter but she's lost her mummy and daddy

Four of my cousins are adopted and they had to wait until they were eighteen before they were given the option to contact their parents and my Uncle is a scoial worker and he says what Pauline is planning to do is illegal and Rebecca's grandma can take her to court and get some sort of injunction out on her

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

No way they have no legal rights to see or speak to her, the poor girl should be left with her Gran-ma to grieve for the only parents she has ever known and loved.

No... they have no rights to the child.. she has had enough upset and trama in her life... she should stay with her grandmother

Absolutely not. In these circumstances you have to think about what is best for the child and what is best for Rebecca is that she stays with the people she knows and loves. Taking her away from her home where she has security and comfort and placing her in the hands of, who to her, are strangers will be nothing less than cruel.

Yeah but it is a hard thing too go through, and you have to think that the care for the child is alot harder as they get older, and the nan isnt getting any younger, i know that rebecca doesnt know her parents but she could get to know them through having contact, her adoptive family dont need to be out of her life if sonia gets her back, if sonia did get her back then she should allow the adoptive family to see her and be in her life as much as they have been.

I think that martin and sonia are good characters, and would be even better if they didnt have pauline around, as at the minute they are limited to what they can do due to still be living with mother.

No they shouldn't
What would it be like, Chloe/Rebecca, finding out shes got another mum and dad and that they wanted to change her name! Poor girl!!

Well they would have to keep her first name as it is now, coz thats not fair on the child, but i think that it would be good rebecca to know that her parents are there for her and love her, because when shes older shes going to wonder why her parents just walked away from her etc.
I have a half sister that was adopted to another member of my family, and she knows she is adopted but doesnt know who her real mum is, and thats effected her in a big way.

Putting that child back with the Fowler's will cause the poor little girl nothing but confusion and the feelings of being safe she needs to be around the grandma she loves and knows do Sonia, Martin and Pauline know any of this poor little girls needs fave foods, bedtime routine etc they don't even know her and the one thing a child needs is a sense of security and familiarity leave Rebecca alone she's already lost her mummy and daddy why take her granny away from her as well Sonia and Martin have accepted this and Pauline should because what she's doing is purely selfish and she certainly isn't thinking of Rebecca

Very rarely. But despite this I think she has genuine feelings for her grandaughter & although I feel Martin and Sonia did the right thing not getting her involved, I do feel slightly sorry for her. Family is very important to her and most have them have died or moved away. She feels alone. But she should think about the 1 son she does have and his feelings, as well as how hard it will be for Sonia listening to her going on about Rebecca all the time. She does need to try too listen and understand.
