EASTENDERS' Jessie Wallace is romancing co-star Joel Beckett.
Jessie - TV's Kat Moon - has shared secret dates with Joel, 32, who plays Jake Moon, cousin of her hubby Alfie.
And her new love is a dead ringer for her ex-fiancé Dave Morgan.
The actress — who had a bitter split from Dave in April — has been secretly dating Joel for the past few weeks. Pals say she and lookalike Joel have also shared dozens of late-night phone calls.
It is 34-year-old Jessie’s first romance since her break-up with Dave, 29, who is the dad of her one-year-old daughter Tallulah Lilac. The couple are currently working out custody arrangements for their little girl.
A source close to the star said: “Jessie and Joel have been out on a couple of dates and it is just a bit of fun.
“Jessie has been through a hell of a lot this year and she needs someone nice to look after her. Joel has been a great friend.”
On telly Joel is the cousin of Jessie’s estranged hubby Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie
Joel also starred as Dawn’s boyfriend Lee in TV hit The Office.
Jessie is quitting EastEnders and filmed her final scenes as Kat Moon last month.
She will leave Albert Square on screen on Christmas Day. Shane is also quitting, but EastEnders bosses refuse to reveal if Kat goes with or without her husband.
Jessie’s fledgling romance comes just months after she told The Sun she was not looking for love.
She said: “In the past I haven’t been a great judge of character, I know that. But now I don’t trust anyone easily. I can’t because I have Tallulah to think about. I can’t go letting just anyone into her life. I have to protect her.”
The actress also revealed that she did not want to bring up her little girl alone. She added: “No one wants that for their child, no one.
“I just take things one day at a time. I’m enjoying being with my baby.”
