What you watching girl because it isn't the same as me. The Bill is on top form. You have the Smithy/Gina friendship showing the support and caring that Smithy is giving Gina through her time of need, just love it when he gets cross with her. Honey/Scott, Yvonne and Her fella and that is just the tip of the ice berg. There is a lot of fantastic stuff coming up too. Have to admit there is the odd scene which is boring i.e Terry Perkins, Too much Sam and Romani bores me, however though I am enjoying her currnet storyline with Margaret the Stalker. I hate the interview scenes but love all the action/drama and romance.

The Bill has changed and developed with the times. Some like the changes and welcome the serialisation of the programme.....others, feel that the old format suited the programme better.

No-one is right and no-one is wrong. It's purely a matter of taste.

The programme HAD to change to move with the times as many viewers do not have the same tastes and preferences as they used to. It will, no doubt, change again under the new boss and develop into whatever they see the current and future requirements to be. However, it is nice that they are now taking soundings from us fans as to what we like / dislike etc.....

Many old bill fans will never accept what has happened to their police programme and many new bill fans feel that the new Bill has much more to offer than the Old Bill. Sadly it is not often that Old Bill fans and New Bill fans see eye to eye on this topic.

It's just one of those things.

I consider myself a rarity in that I thoroughly enjoyed both formats for different reasons and that I feel I have adapted myself to the changing times to ensure my enjoyment of the programme continues. People say there are loads of bad actors and characters in it now... but I feel that this has always been the case. You cant have a large cast show without some rotten eggs.

Anyway end of my rather polite rant on the subject :angel:

Well as someone who has watched TB since it started I feel that since Paul Marquess took it over it has become very far fetched and sensationalistic (is that a real word). How many more muders, rapes and explosions can we put up with. Sun Hill my a**e . Baghdad Central is quieter. Donte even get me started about the CHIMP :angry:

I think the Bill is brill at the mo top plots, gripping storylines, likeable character and some you don't, real villians (Gabriel Kent), and it deals with real issues in each episode

David Kent is one of the most far fetched and outlandish stories ever to appear on the Bill. It is so prposterous that anyone could get away with impersonating their brother for so long. Have the producers and storwriters for the Bill never heard of National Insurance and Inland Revenue, vetting procedures, fingerprints et etc

The Bill is certainly not boring. If anything there are too many convuluted storylines happening in it at the minute. It is far from being the worst programme on TV I can think of plenty of worse ones :rolleyes:

Sorry Sam I have to disagree - Some good episodes yes. But some totally CRAP storylines too. The old chracters like Tony and Reg hardly get to feature now. Instead we get the gormles Honey and useless Yvonne and the dreadful David K*nt and his farcical storyline.
The wedding of June and Jume which all Bill fans had waited 20yrs for was a disaster and over before it had barely begun. Why not have a happy couple or was that too much to expect of Mr Marquess

i liked they way they showed ramani n the antidepressesnts showoing that the storyline wasnt forgoitten just because she was off work!n also they way they mentioned that she had been watching herleading to the next things....

also thought that adam was very god 2nyte convincing!!

also liked the way the focus was mainly on CID i think there are alot more capable actors in CID so have an episode containing 85% of them is always succesfull
