Louis quits stress factor

Louis Walsh has apparently walked from the X Factor after a series of rows with the other judges.

The Irish music manager is said to be fed up with being bullied and humiliated and is jumping on the next flight home.

The final straw for Louis was when Sharon Osbourne threw three glasses of water over him on last Saturday's live show, leaving him raging with anger.

Simon Cowell's comments about him haven't helped either. Cowell called Louis 'bland' on a TV show and blasted him as an 'idiot' in a national tabloid.

It appears it is more a case of the stress factor for Louis - last night he said he'd had enough and was heading back to Dublin and not putting up with any more.

Simon had previously joked that he couldn't find anyone boring enough to replace Louis but he was left eating his words last night as he begged the judge not to leave.

The trouble started for Louis when he voted to keep fellow Irish act The Conway Sisters in the competition rather than bookies favourite Maria Lawson.

Sharon and Louis have both signed £375,000 contracts to appear in the next two series, but it doesn't seem as though Louis will be seeing that through.

This years X Factor has been the most publicised yet with a new story making the headlines everyday, but it is yet to be discovered if this is latest outcry from Louis is just another publicity stunt or if the music mogul really is on the next plane back to Dublin.

I reckon it is a publicity stunt.. they need people watching the x factor and voting for their acts but now the "I'm a Celeb.." is back, they could be taken votes from the X factor so it needs to stay in the news

thats what x factor has always been like, the always argue on stage and simon and louis have called each other much worse.
Plus sharon has throw water over simon a few time and he took as a joke.

Louis just cant take a joke.

I wouldn't blame Louis if he had walked, but I wonder if this is a stunt, especially as x factor is up against strictly come dancing and in the current rating wars, they are both on a pretty even keel - is this a way of ensuring viewers watch on Saturday to see if Louis is there????

I dont know if it is a stunt i was watching This morning and one of the people from x factor were on talking an about the situation

I feel sorry for loui Walsh i didnt agree with him keeping the conway sister over maria but at the end of the day it his choice he made a judgement in that situation he shouldnt be bullied for it :)

there is nothing on the official x-factor site to say he has def left! Does anyone know if it has officially been confirmed by louis of the producers of the x-factor, cant help thinkinh its just for publicity and to make people feel sorry for him, now he has ony one act left! Maybe if he hadnt been so full of himself this year people would have warmed to him a bit more, it said the simon is mr nasty well i thinks louis has taken that role over this year at least simon tells them the truth ( most of the time ) but louis just goes for the country he lives in!

Crikey - Louis can dish it out but can't take it. If he has left, then he should be ashamed leaving Shayne in the lurch, but I have a funny feeling he will be back next week.

Louis didn't derserve a drenching.

And as for The Maria and Conway sisters incident, hello it's his choice, Kate and Sharon tried to cause an outcry and casue a situation, Louis had the deciding vote and Sharon should get over it, Louis may have been a bit daft but there is no need to make him the bad guy, But he will be back on saturday for sure.

Louis Latest

Following newspaper reports today that judge Louis Walsh has quit The X Factor, the show's producers have spoken.

The producers have said,”We are talking to Louis and hope to be able to persuade him to return to the show on Saturday.”

As one of the three judges on the show, Louis has been looking after the 16-24 category which now only includes Shayne.

But producers say they're hopeful that he will return to his place on the judging panel in time for Saturday night's show.

We will of course bring you more news as we get it.



so it looks like it is true... hed better come back, he knows the show is ruthless and half of it is staged anyways... he should stop being selfish and think of poor shayne...the whole concept of the show cant continue with 2 judges... and who will replace him... Pete Waterman?

i totally agree. oh how i would love to see water thrown over sharon to see how she would react. somehow i dont think she would take it so well!!! however unpopular the decision he made, it was his decision and that is how the programme works.

i hope louis leaves, i hate him - he's so annoying - i think another woman should be it in - there's always only one woman in x factor/pop idol/american idol never two - it'd be interesting to see what happened if there was.
