Last night's ITV2 viewers will have seen Carol The Thatch preparing herself mentally for her first Bushtucker trial – the Highway to Hell.
Tonight’s ITV1 audience will be able to share the Iron Daughter’s fear as she drives a specially-adapted postal car a precipitous 100 feet above the jungle canopy.
However, so far Thatch remains blissfully unaware of the challenge that she faces.
In the build up to the event, support from her fellow campers was generous.
“You’re going to be absolutely groovy,” said Jilly, possibly the first person ever to use the words “absolutely” and “groovy” in the same sentence.
She went on to reassure Carol that the challenge would be, “scary and difficult, but not disgusting”. Words that could be used to describe Carol herself… or Jilly for that matter.
Carol seemed calmly confident about the prospect of the challenge, but warned her fellow contestants not to get too excited. “Nobody start hallucinating about Jamie Oliver-style dinners, please,” she quipped.
See how she gets on tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
I think she's going to be great doing this. looks dead scarey though. I wouldn't be able to do any of them!!!!!!!! I think its on in a min...
they done this on a show a few years ago dont try this at home with divina mccoll.
But it think it was over a canyon or something like that. I remember the person who was supposed to do it didn't complete the task so that meant that divina had to and she was in tears all the way through

Apparently David Dickinson wasn't very welcoming.....
I think they were going to be going in anyway though, even if Elaine was able to stay. I'll certainly be interested to see the bush tucker trial tonight though - aren't we public mean, getting Jilly and Carol to do it - I wonder if Jilly will stick her nose on everything to take in the aroma prior to eating :lol: :rotfl:
im going to miss it tonight, the series has been really good so far. Yourll have to tell me how it goes. Didnt Jilly look like she was going to cry when they told her last night.
Carol will do fine i think. shes a tough cookie.
Jilly's reaction was hilarious - I thought she was going to burst into tears aswell with everyone having to give her hugs and that. But if she wasn't so pedantic (sp?) she might not have been voted for lol

I thought that Carol and Jilly were brill.They just got on with what they had to do.I also thought that sheree was really good with the live task
Carol was excellent, so funny last night, and apparently she is a veggie!! Jilly was excellent to, but not in the same class as Carol to me.
Sheree - fair play to her, she just couldn't reach on some of them, and she got stuck in there, even though she was petrified.
Well done to them all :cheer:

sherree did so well. I couldnt even see the stars in he first two boxes. I thought that was horrible hoiw they covered her in that stuff right at the very begining.

Carol was fantastic last night! That woman has guts, she just popped them in without a care in the world, gotta give it to her she really impressed me! Jilly was very brave as well they have moved up a level in my opinion
Sheree, awww bless her, she was well good as well, she tried everything id have jumped out as well with them crocs! I really hope she wins

I agree with everything you just said ma love!
Carol and Jilly were both fab! I could never of done that! And shree i coud never of done any of that either!
not sure who i want to win yet, but I love Sid And Shree!!!!
