Hi i was just wondering do people on here think they are materialistic
For example what would you prefer to have a bag from Topshop or would you prefer a gucci bag

i don't really go for materialistic stuff so i would probably pick a bag for top shop as i tend to buy things cause i like them. But if someone else was paying then i think i could be encouraged to pick a gucci :D
I'm not at all materialistic - I would rather my children had everything they needed, than to spend the money on a very expensive item, which could prevent me from having enough money to buy them shoes or something like that - before I had the boys I might have done, but certainly not since I have been a parent :D

i wouldnt buy something just cos it was expensive and had a label, i buy what i like, and normally i buy cheaper things even if i like the designer stuff cos i cant afford it!

I would buy something cheap than something that i can not affort but like chole said "But if someone else was paying then i think i could be encouraged to pick a gucci" or something which would need more money

Same here.
i would go for stuff from places like topshop because it tends to last for more than one season, and if it gets damaged then it's not too much of a problem

I but things which have a good name but are a very reasnoabkle price.. nothing from cheap stores so in a way I guess I am materialistic. I do buy designer stuff if they do reasonable prices too.

It depends on what something is like,if I really really liked something I would probbaly buy it even if it was really expensive.

I giess a bit of both for me. Mostly I get cheap stuff, but I do have a Louis Vuitton bag. I think if you really like it, and can afford it get it. But not just for the label.

Primark is cheap but I buy clothes there.. they do really good scarf/hats/gloves for nearly nothing.. but they do the job... I notice nobody said they are materilistic but if you had the money, i am sure the gucci bag would be one of your accessories...
I like Primark too Siobhan - I get so much from there, the only thing i find harder is there isn't so much for my eldest, but certainly everything else

It is called Pennys over here and I get tonnes of stuff for Charley. I find it good for Kids cause they grow out of clothes so quickly and because Pennys is cheap you don't mind it so much.. I got her 2 hats/ 2 pair of gloves and a scarf yesterday for just €5
