This is DEFINATLY the WORST forum I have ever had the misfortune of joining. And now I am leaving.

This "place" has no community spirit at all. Your all just a load of "lol's" and "kool's". The only thing you have in common is you love soaps. How much do you REALLY know about each other?

I am especially disgusted at how the forum is actually run. I got NO welcome from any Mods when I joined the boards. Which would make anyone feel not very welcome.

What I have seen from NB and his posts he simply waits around the boards until someone does something wrong so he can tell them off. He especially loves getting off on warning and banning members.

I understand if somebody is doing something they should not get away with it. But simply just banning members left right and centre is not fair.

I have been on forums previously where the mods are especially part of the community. They make theads and post topics, they are at a level with there members and ONLY act superior if and when they have to.

Everybody on the boards should have a right to their opinion and should not feel they can or cant post something.

Anyway as I said, Im leaving. I'm not waiting to be banned cause Im not allowed free speech. Most forums would try and resolve the problem and not let me leave, but I doubt this will happen here.

It is a fine place to be in. If you stick to the rules, you will have no trouble at all. NB is doing a great job looking after the boards and he doesn't pick on people at random. He has to ensure everything is overlooked properly to avoid as you put it the "lol" and "i no" posts. Without NB there would be no boards at all and I don't think he gets the praise he deserves

I'm sorry to hear that Chico - this is the only forum I belong to and enjoy my time on here. The mods are great, but they do generally work aswell as mod on here, so it can be difficult for them to contribute loads. We are generally a good community though, otherwise I wouldn't stick around here.

NB manages the boards great though, and this place gives me the sanity I need on some days (having 3 kids and everything).

Us mods do work together and if you started a thread asking why NB is not on much lately, you will get the same response from everyone, his wife is due her baby soon. He is around and we do get to know him.

Alan is right though, there is far worse forum out there that are not controled and people attack each other for their choice of soaps. This is one of the best controlled forums you will find out there.

They are part of the community and do as you say. Infact, the age range of the mods takes into account most people. Oh, and one of the rules of becoming a mod is "no power trips"

What do you mean by adult. There are some 18 yr old posters here (allegedly) who havent got the grasp of basic English ye and there are some a lot younger who can and do make wonderful contributions to this board.

people werent having a go at her, they were just stating that she had said things which they didnt agree with, like no mods welcoming her (which they did), mods not contributing to the boards (which they do), nb being on some sort of power trip (which he isnt, hes doing a great job on these boards :)) to name just a few

thats cos on some forums being a mod is the peoples jobs, on here all the mods have got other jobs/go to college and are being a mod for free. its not really practical to say that they should get to know all the members there are over 7000 on here! and i think the mods do talk to most of the regular members and obviously made good friends with some of the members

I know a lot of people may not like what I say about their favourite soap or wooden actors but at least I try to give reasons for my opinions while at the same time trying to have a laugh. I enjoy the good natured banter and fun there is on here and its certainly the best board I have been on. The OP should have taken time to join in with folks instead of committing board suicide by dissing the Mods and the decent posters on here.

I totally disagree about this site its one of the best i know now i know in the past i havent been a brilliant member or poster but alot of you would have seen me around alot recently in the last 3-4 weeks because i needed somewhere to go that wasnt going to all be about guys and dolls then i remembered i was a member here and that it isnt just a Nigel Harman site or anything like that so i thought it would be an excellent place to start using again and i was right i have made some absolutely fab friends in the weeks i have been back and now have something to share with my best friend.

I think all the members are very friendly barring the odd few who want to ruin it for the rest of us but generally all the members are so nice and that includes NB and all the mods on here aswell.

NB does a great job on here and its completely understandable why he hasnt been around recently but he has a life away from here like everyone does and cant live on here 24/7 just because he runs it.
