IT was like a scene from Footballers' Wives when Laila Rouass decided on a spur-of-the-moment wedding last Friday.

The course of true love has never run smooth for Laila's character Amber Gates and her hubby Conrad on the hit show - and now life is starting to imitate, er, art.

On the happiest day of her life, a day which will be emblazoned on her memory for the rest of her life, Laila, 30, mislaid her wedding dress. We kid you not.

Then, less than 24 hours after tying the knot, instead of dashing home to hubby, she was a guest on Xtra Factor then headed out on the town with Ozzy, Sharon and Jack Osbourne, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

A 3am mole tells us: "Her new husband didn't stay at home either. He was out clubbing with his mates."

Mmm... No honeymoon period there, then.

Things got off to a shaky start when the former model left her £7,000 dress in a cab just hours before her nuptials to millionaire businessman Nasa Khan, 33.

Our mole continues: "Like every woman, Laila spent ages trying to find the right dress for her big day.

"When she realised what she had done, she burst into floods of tears.

"She had to rush to designer Collette Dinnigan's in Chelsea to find another dress just two hours before the ceremony."

And in a convoluted plot twist worthy of a Footballers' Wives special, she ended up an hour late for her own wedding.

But Nasa, who's been dating the TV star since March, soon put the smile back on her face.

Following a very private do for family and friends at London's exclusive Home House, the £60million mobile phones and property tycoon presented her with a £350,000 yacht named The Dorchester.

The claws must have been out when arch-nemesis Tanya Turner heard that...

Our spy went on: "She bought Nasa a diamond-encrusted Rolex worth £40,000."

Laila's spokesperson was unable to comment yesterday but one of her close pals tells us: "Laila has been very low-key about the whole thing. She's not the kind of girl who shouts about things."

We'd want to keep it quiet too if we lost our wedding dress...
