Kimberley Davies thinks she is on an equal footing with her I'm A Celebrity castmates, despite being an Australian.
The actress, better known as Annalise Hartman from Neighbours, admits to camping out before but has never had a lengthy stint in the jungle. "As an Australian I’m lucky that I have done a lot of camping here but I suspect nothing on the scale to what I’m going to face in the jungle," she said. "I don’t think that is going to be any advantage over any of the other contestants, just because I grew up here.
“I think it is down to what you, as a person, can bring to the jungle and not what country you grew up in. It was an experience that as an adult I just couldn’t turn down.”
Any home turf advantage she might have is likely to be cancelled out by the fact that she has never seen the show before.
She added: “All I know is that this show can be life changing, a challenge and that those who have gone on the show previously come out with a new respect for life - well at least food. Although I live in Australia, where the show is based, it has never been on our screens."
