David Dickinson is planning to make the most of the Aussie sunshine during his stay on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
The antiques specialist, renowned for his orange glow, intends to combat camp boredom by topping up his tan.
“I’ll be out looking for the cracks in the canopy where the sun comes through, so I can top up my tan. I’d be alright at that," he said. "I mean, I know I’m in a rainforest where it will be pretty dark but you can bet your life the Duke will be looking for a spot where the rays will cascade through the branches.
“You will find me in my hammock there with the Ambre Solaire. It’s hard work topping up the tan during the day you know - it’s a skill!”
Meanwhile, the 64-year-old has admitted that his wife Lorne has instructed him not to lose his temper with any of his campmates. “Her indoors said ‘For goodness sake David, just bite your lip. If someone gets really annoying, bite your lip. Don’t show them at home you’ve got a temper or anything like that’.
“I don’t know if I’ll be good at that but I’ll find out when I get in there...I think you’ll always get a few people who will be shirking their share. I think that will be annoying.”
I'm A Celebrity begins this Sunday on ITV.
