Waters weren't broken till 4.10pm and Liam Isaac was born at 5.24pm - I broke my own personal best and labour time 1st thru 3rd stages was 1 hour :cheer: Everything was fine though, I now have 3 wonderful boys (although Ci now wants another one lol!! bless him)

I'm good thanks Siobhan - had a few blues this morning (though my fuse box tripping, so the heating going off etc didn't really help, especially when hubby is advising me to do the wrong thing from the end of the phone 30miles away!!), but otherwise good. Didn't have time for any drugs but its meant that Liam is extremely alert and wide awake which is lovely. Ci loves him to bits loves helping me with him. He fights with Ste over who is going to cuddle him next, and this morning helped feed him. The only time he showed anything was when Liam was crying and he was trying to watch Dora so he put his finger to his lips and said "Liam, shush!" - but otherwise, so far so good :D

We are all great - Liam was weighed today, and is down to 7lb 2oz, so has lost the usual amount, he also has some nasty thrush under his armpits and in his groin creases, so I have been prescribed some cream for him, which is awful - I have to wash him off and then make sure he is really dry, then apply the cream and its obviously sore and hurting him, and he starts crying, which then makes me feel awful. But I have to do it and he fine once I cuddle him again.

I remember u and I were talking about nappies,, u said u were gonna use cloth diapers during the day.. well Tony my son was also in diapers during the day, he developed a nasty rash as well,, my doctor said it was the detergent I was using to wash the diapers in,, so it may also be the detergent u are using,, remember babies are all different, what might have been OK with your other two may not be Ok with Liam ( who is sssoososososo adorable):love:

My niece is now 7 months and playing with them gets better everyday!I'm really chuffed with myself as I wasn't able to breastfeed my other 2, but even though my paed hospital left me to it with feeding and didn't support me (leaving me with a few probs) I have been able to restart it, so hopefully that will help.

Jodi - I have been mostly using disposables at the mo to try and keep his creases as dry as possible, so the thrush can't survive, and i wash his reusables in a degergent called filletti which has no enzymes and no other anything, to try and prevent any skin irritation. Its clearing up pretty well though so hopefully in a week, his creases should be as gorgeous as he is :D

I felt so awful when having to bathe and cream him, coz it hurt him so much and he just screamed, but the main thing is that its better so he is a lot happier now....

Just want to warn all the mum's out there.. there is a viral infection going around... Ben got it and it is pretty bad, high temperature, bad cough and runny nose... Ben has had it for a week, he won't sleep at night and keeps wailing. He burns up and because he is so young there is nothing that can be done for him so he has to fight it himself

So just to let you know there is an infection going around and affecting a lot of children

Just want to warn all the mum's out there.. there is a viral infection going around... Ben got it and it is pretty bad, high temperature, bad cough and runny nose... Ben has had it for a week, he won't sleep at night and keeps wailing. He burns up and because he is so young there is nothing that can be done for him so he has to fight it himself

So just to let you know there is an infection going around and affecting a lot of children

the same thing is gooing around here at the schools but its mainly diarroa and vomiting.all mine have had it.

the poor pet.. you really feel for them cause they can't tell you what is wrong or where they hurt and you feel terrible touching them incase you cause more pain...And I was hurting him aswell, just through rinsing under his arms - they were so sore, and I'm having to clean them and put cream on them - felt awful, but now they have cleared up, I know it was worth it (I think lol)

He's not too bad chance...has found his voice though and as soon as he realises I am not right next to him he kicks off! :( His cold is finally starting to go now - he's being weighed tomorrow (health visitor is coming to mine :) ) so it will be interesting to see whether he has lost or put on... He was weighed today on his 6 week birthday and he weighs 11lb 8oz!!! He is 56cm long and head circum is 40cm so hes a big lad, just like Ci and his dad!! :rotfl:

In fact the strange thing is, that even though Liam was born at 38 weeks and Ciaran at 42, they are exactly the same as each other at 6 weeks, height, weight and head circumference, and this is why the health visitor thinks that he has been eating so frequently like he has - hes gone from the 25th centile to the 75th so massive growth spurt!!

Sleeping better (as we post in fact! ) Not so upset, winding a lot better even without the infacol, so I think that was probably most of the problem - it will be interesting to see how he wakes tonight. He had a feed at 10 so gonna wait till 12 to see if he wants another one, but if not he may go longer again like last night - or he could be awake all night because he has been sleeping well today :hmm: Knowing my luck, I wonder which it will be lol

thats the problem isnt it,if they sleep well in the day then they seem to stay awake at night but you cant keep a baby awake like you can toddlers...
sj had a sleep about 1pm today for a hour and he went up to bed at 7pm but he's still awake now!
where as shannon sleeps loads in the day still and all night long,she had a feed about 40 mins ago and she will go til bout 9am now bless her,i have been blessed!
