Any vets on the site?? Or bunny experts
Im getting quite worried about my poor wee bunny kingsley.
He had a weeping eye and it's making all his fur sticky. Ive been trying to wash and clean it everyday but it seems to be getting worse.
I cant get a vets appointment until the end of the week.
Does anyone have any ideas???

im looking after my aunts rabbit at the mo and hes been at the vets cause of his eye and it sounds like the same thing, my aunts rabbit has been the vets and he has eye drops and antibiotics and we are also washing his eye with warm water and the vet thinks it might have been from the lemon sawdust my aunt started using so if you have changed anyting in his cage change it back but the vet bills has got quite high for my aunt
thanks - i was just thinking none of my other bunny's have got anything and he's the only house rabbit ive got. We've been getting alot of work done in the house so i was just wondering if maybe something got into it a bit of dust or something.
The vets bills are shocking i took all four of them to get their nails clipped tha other day (too scared to do it myself) and it cost £9.50 each

i know, vets bills are extortionate!
Crumbs - it only cost me £2.50 to get my guineas nails cut at my vets....
When my boys eyes are like this, I boil the kettle, soak a tea bag and then bathe their eyes in it!! Don't ask why, but it seems to work. Cooled boiled water is another one. I could be a bit of dust has got in there and iritating the eye....

Your rabbit might have Conjuctivus (to do with the teeth i think) as i just asked my sister as she works at vet and she said that when you wipe the rabbit eye don't touch your eye as you can get it too. Yeah so wash your hands Very carefully or wash gloves but still wash hands after
Yeah, definitely wash your hands after bathing the eyes.....

my rabbit has also got a saw ear cause of the lemon sawdust and shes a house rabbit and so is my aunts so maybe its them and my mum cuts my rabbits nails but all my rabbits are weird one has behaviour problems, one has stuff wrong with her eyes and then one has stuff wrong with her ears and the other 2 are normal, but jojomum ive never had to have my guinea-pigs nails cut as they never seem that long

My rabbit also had this because of scented sawdust although it was the rose one not the lemon. You think they'd test it more before selling it to the public if it irritates the animals so much
ive not changed any of their stuff so it cant be that :searchme:

yeah when we said that we think it might be that he said he doesnt like it and dont thinkyou should be able to use it
just back from the vets it is Conjuctivus and he gave me drops he also checked his teeth and if the Conjuctivus hasnt cleared up by next week they are going to take him in and have a look at his back teeth and see if they are causing it.
