I brought the series 1-4 dvd boxset from WH SMITHS at a bargain price of £89.99 yesterday (thats less than a pound per episode!)
ive only watched 3 episodes so far but ive not been disapointed, i can see why the critics and fans love it! its a fantastic show! gripping stuff! certainly worth the money!
ill use this thread to post my reactions, questions and opinions, and you lot can chip in with your comments about things as i when i say them!

Bryan hunny didn't i tell you that 24 was the best series ever how addicted are you? How cool is Jack Bauer?:wub: I could tell you what happens in series one but that would spoil it for you just sit back forget about anything else and loose yourself in 24 as you are in for one hell of a rollercoster ride before the end but i will promise you will not be disapointed. if you think series 1 is addictive wait until you get to season 2 you will be in therapy with me :rotfl:
Make sure you get sky installed before january as Jack will be back :D
yay jack and the crew have escpaed the baddies!! or have they??? this show is getting better by the episode, only problem is you say well this is gonna be the last episode i watch todayt and then the last five minutes makes ya wanna watch more!

The addictive thing about 24 is just when you think you've worked out what is going on the something else happens and throws your ideas up in the air. All i will say is that expect the unexpected and just sit back and enjoy the ride because you won't be able to guess the outcome until the last 10 mins.
all i know is that teri dies...but how she dies i have no idea!

no becuase if ya go on the bbc 24 site well they only aired 2 series and it says jack's marital status is widowed

If you want to know any spoilers go to www.fox.com/24 they have an hour by hour recap of the last 4 seasons. but for your own sanity don't read them as you only become more addicted.
I could tell you how terri dies but then i would have to kill you :D I think i will just sit back and let you be tortured by excitement and frustration at having no control of you emotions when the clock ticks to the hour and you scream NOOOOO!!! at the telly.

I have the box sets for series 3 and 4. I watched series 2 on BBC3, but I only startedwatching about 2/3 of the way through series 1. My hubbie watched the whole thing, but I was ill for nearly a year and spent a lot of time in bed and missed it, drat!
Fantastic series, but I like Tony, Chloe has dibs on Jack Baur, lol

I have been addicted since season 1 and have all 4 seasons on dvd. Chloe has got it so bad for jack especally in season 4. There are promo pictures out for season 5 and under Chloe's profile it says that she is jack's closest ally in CTU. I would love to see chloe out in the field with a gun she and jack would seriously KICK ASS!!! :D

ive just had a thought as to how teri dies, amybe shes a badguy, who hates jack for leaving on her... so she gets vengance by working for the baddies and jack has to shoot her

day one is over, what a rollercoaster week ive had watching it...
but so many unaswered questions:
who was nina working for, what happens to her next and why what her mission, and when did teri get killed?
will this be revealed in season 2?
dammit just been browsing the fox website and looking at chsaracter profles for future series that i have to watch and for some of them it has a big fat deceasedd sticker on them... so i know who dies in the series! :angry:

1 Nina was working for victor drazen (Dennis hopper) and they planned to kill david palmer.
2 Teri overheard nina talking about making her escape from CTU as her cover was exposed and she shot teri who was pregnant to jack
3 Season two picks up 3 months after season 1 and jack has to save america from a nuke bomb
Now stay away from the spoilers and just watch if you thought season 1 was fab wait until you see 2 & 3 :D :D

im giving it a rest for a while, i have the xbox, celeb big bro and some other dvd boxsets to watch
season 2 drove me mad! so im going to lay off 24 for a bit

i couldnt stand season 2 it was a yawn fest from start to finish (with the exception of a few scenes)

you have got to watch season 3 bb i'm in it and it is ten times better than season 2 aapart from a ctu agent named chase who is jack's sidekick and it's trying to be so cool like jack but will never be.

ooh bryan you are a brave boy S3 is s**t hot lots of twists and nina is back. tell me when you get to 7am after you have watched the scene with Jack and Ryan Chappell. i'm not telling you anything but it has to be the best scene in all of 24 pure jaw-dropping stuff. and of course in S3 we are introudced to the wackiest and best computer geek going "Chloe O'brien" :cheer:
:eek: tony almeda has been shot in the neck at the mall! never saw that one coming! good stuff so far for season 3, a lot better than the last season which was a total turn off!

I've watched 4 episodes of season 3 this morning! Its gripping stuff!
I cant believe that Jack has shot dead Ryan!? And the hotel drama is getting better and better! :clap: :thumbsup:

That scene with jack and ryan has to be one of the best ever in all of 24. I was gob smacked when i first saw it. The ending is amazing
Ive spent the entire morning watching the remainder of the season, i kept saying this is the last one...but its so good i couldnt stop! :eek: :eek: :eek:
it was superb! my mom was glued in the action scene when they captured saunders... and she HATES action shows/films!
SUPERB!!!! cant wait to watch series 4 now...

how stomach curning was the scene when jack had to cut off chase arm(urrrgh) and what about jack crying at the end how sad was that. Get a move on with s4 i'm half way through s5 now
I officially hate Erin Driscoll and the LA police department! Why dont they sod off and let Jack and Clo kick some serious butt! I hate these parts in shows when everything goes wrong for the protagonist! Its so frustrating!!! :angry:

Ems I have been addicted to 24 since day 1 each hour is an hour of 1 day and it always ends with a cliff hanger so you cant help but watch the next episode, you cant help but get caught up in the action and excitement. I disagree with bryan that S2 is rubbish its not but it is the weakest of all 4 series

have patients bryan you think that a little things as the whole of the LA police department after you is going to stop jack think again its early days. This is when we see chloe's loyalty to jack.

Sky One are repeating season 5 from Monday 19th June @1.50am. As far as I can make out 2 episodes will be shown each night until final hour/s so I'm setting my vcr. Does anyone know if Sky are showing the last 2 hours as a double bill like it was in the US? Sorry if I'm repeating stuff already posted here. Also shop around for the 24 boxsets the prices charged can vary wildly!

I am surprised that skyone are repeating S5 so soon as it is still being shown on a Sunday night, the series doesn't finish for another 4 weeks, but hey you never get tired of watching 24
