This is the one where they visit alfie's grandad's grave and have a two minute silence to remember those who died in the war

I'm not pre-judging it until I see it. Plus Sarah Phelps (I wish it were possible to clone her, oh, and Tony Jordan too) is writing it and she is one of EE's top writers. She seems to understand the characters well.

Personally, I think it's good that ee are recognising Armistice day.

Im watching the show. Its really good how they are making the day. And the flash backs are a really original and interesting way to show this.

Very well handled by the BBC and EastEnders.

Those who understand the war will have gotten what tonights episode was all about.

What a SAD episode

Sorry I meant to say BADalan, you will always say EastEnders is bad no matter what. There's no pleasing you.

alan, you will always say EastEnders is bad no matter what. There's no pleasing you.

THATS UNFAIR. I was giving an opinion on tonights episode. I thought it was contrived, cheesy and corny, the fact that Shane (Mr Popular) Ritchie was in it lent nothing to the credibility of it. Belive me when EE becomes as good as it WAS then I will be the first to praise it. Sadly it shows no signs at the moment. I give my honest opinion and its up to you whether you agree or disagree :)

Im sorry, but you seem to make out that every single episode is rubbish. I agree that the show did used to be much better, but you act as if it's rubbish all the time. It does have some good episodes, but you never seem to praise it. You seem to come across as if you are glad it's doing so badly!

Sorry if you think that but I will repeat for the nth time. I used to watch each and every episode of EE in the pre LB days even to the extent of taping it when on holidays (how sad was that). I made a concious effort to watch it this last three weeks with the rteturn of the Chuckle Brothers but imho its not improved enough for me to add it to my list of dont miss programs. BTW I was not over the moon about tonights Corrie either. I give my honest opinions and I really am sorry you feel they are wrong but at least I normally explain my criticism rather than just saying EE is crap/s*it/rubbish etc. I try to justify my views and have no desire to fall out with anyone on here :(

Tonights was magnificent, yes I had misgivings as their usual one on ones are some times really bad. But this was pure brilliance, the flashbacks everything, Alfie's upset at loosing his beloved Nana was excellent.
I hope they bring spencer back for the funeral scenes.

I was not going to bother watching, but glad I did, I found it very emnotional, thinking of all the war heros. My grandad was in the 1914 /18 war and died early due to the mustard gas,so I was thinking of him too. They both did well.
