ITV plans 'Doctor Who' "rival"

ITV has greenlit a new big budget, Doctor Who-style sci-fi series.

Primaeval will follow genius scientist Professor Cutter as he travels back in time to find out what happened to his wife, who disappeared down a black hole.

The £6 million, six-episode series has been earmarked for a Saturday or Sunday evening slot.

it does sound good but i don't think it will be as good as Doctor Who

as long as its not on at the same time as dr who then i'll probably watch it

this sounds far too much like that HG Wells story where the guy goes back in time to save is loved one
