Ruby and Stacey ~ Forever Friends

Hey everyone! I've decided to do a Ruby and Stacey script. It will start before they were even born and will feature:

How both Ruby's and Stacey's parents met
The marriages of Jean and Brian, Johnny and Stephanie
How Stacey, Sean, Ruby and Scarlet were born
Stacey's Dad dying
A massive shock for Stacey
The Allen Fire
Ruby's Boarding School
Johnny's affair with Tina
Johnny's life as a gangster
Ruby and Stacey becoming friends ... and lots more!

Part One: Leaving Walford

~ 1971 ~

Johnny Allen was staring at a house. His house. Well now it was his old house - he couldn't believe he was leaving Walford. He never thought he would - but he had bigger fish to fry. This house was the first he had ever bought - he had had to beat up a man to get it and now he had sold it.
Johnny shook his head. He had lived 10 years in Walford - but now it was time to move on and take over some other place. He took his first step before he heard a voice calling 'Johnny!'
Johnny turned around and saw Dot coming towards him.
'I heard you was leaving - I just can't believe it. You've been so great to this place, all that money you donated - it was so generous.' said Dot.
'It was no problem really Dot. I was happy to do it.'
'I'll miss you, Johnny - if I didn't have my Charlie - I'd marry you!' said Dot.
Johnny laughed. 'Thanks, Dot. So no Pauline then?'
'Nope, sorry - she's never really 'approved' of you!' said Dot.
'Ohh I say!' said Johnny in a Dot like voice.
'Oh Johnny, I will miss you taking the mick.'
Johnny laughed and said 'Well, goodbye Dot. Good luck with that kid of yours - make sure he turns out all right! Oh and give my love to Pauline and Pat, I hope they both have happy marriages. Too bad I didn't.'
'Oh Johnny. I know Brenda really hurt you, but I'm sure your second wife will be 'The One'' replied Dot.
'Or third!' said Johnny, laughing.
Johnny took a couple more steps when he heard something.
'Jon-kneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!' screeched two voices.
Johnny turned round and saw two women in there mid-twenties coming towards him.
'Hello ladies, I've guess you heard from Dot then?'
'How could we not! She's like The Gossip Queen! I can't believe your going Johnny! We didn't even meet that long ago!'
'Two years 3 months and 17 days, Ruby. We've know him that long!'
'Wow! Time just flies past!' said Ruby. 'And I so thought you were gonna be Mrs Johnny Allen, Scarl!'
'Shut up, Rubez!' said Scarlet.
'Look ladies, I better be going - like you said - time just flies past!' said Johnny.
'Oh wait a sec!' said Ruby. 'I got summin for ya!'
She took a card out of her bag.
It said, "To our darling Johnny, thanks for giving us a home, a job and so many free drinks that we scavenged from ya! We'll miss you like crazy! Lots of love, Scarlet and Ruby."
'Awww - you girls. You are my beautiful red girls!'
'That's what ya used to call us when we first came to Walford, don't start using it again!' said Scarlet.
'But you are, I'll never forget you.' said Johnny.
He waved them goodbye as he took his final steps out of Walford.

Part 2: The Dare

~ 1988 ~

Jean and Naddie were at a nightclub, bored.
'They call this a nightclub?' said Naddie.
'It's so dull. They said it was gonna be the hottest new thing - and look nearly everyone has left!'
'It's there way to make money.' said Naddie. 'Say it's fabolous but it's not and then take all the people's money.'
'I hate this! Let's go!' said Jean, putting her coat on.
'No, let's not!'
'But you just said it's dull - so let's go and have some real fun!'
'We payed good money to get in here, Jean - so now we're going to have some fun!' said Naddie, smirking.
'And how are we going to do that?' asked Jean, taking her coat off.
Naddie thought for a moment and then said 'A dare.'
'A dare - come on we're not in high school anymore!'
'The first one to get phone numbers off 7 guys wins ... 200 quid.'
'Where is this 200 quid coming from?'
'The other person.' said Naddie, getting a vodka and downing it in one.
'Neither of us can afford that!'
'Ok - 20 quid?' asked Naddie.
'Yeah, sure.'
2 hours later both Jean and Naddie had got numbers of 6 different guys - there was only one guy left as all the others had left.
'OK - we'll each have five minutes with him and the first one to get his number wins and gets an extra fiver.'
'Hey,' said Naddie to the guy. 'I'm Naddie Wilson.'
'Brian Slater.' he said, not looking at her.
'You look like you could do with some cheering up!' said Naddie.
'Yeah - well not from a tart like you!' he said, walking off.
'Omigod! That is so out of order!' said Naddie, shocked.
'You have sooo lost - you owe me twenty quid!' said Jean, doing a happy dance.
'Er ... no way! You haven't got his number yet!' Naddie replied, smirking.
'Damn!' said Jean, stopping her happy dance. 'Oh he's coming out of the loo - I'm try now!'
Jean went over to him and said 'Jean Lanes - pleased to meet you.'
He smiled at her and then introduced himself and starting dancing with her. Naddie was gobsmacked - she was prettier then Jean! How could Jean get him and she not?
Naddie watched Jean and Brian talking and dancing for half an hour until Jean finally said she had to go home.
'That was fun!' said Jean, on her way out of the nightclub.
Naddie didn't say anything.
'Awww - your jealous!' said Jean, smirking.
'Am not! Well - I don't get it - I'm more fun than you!'
'Thanks!' replied Jean, sarcastically.
'I didn't mean it like that!' said Naddie. 'It's just - well I never fail!'
'Well you have today, Nad!'
Naddie frowned.
'Look, Naddie - it's just one night where I won - we'll never see those blokes again and when you give me that 25 quid we'll never see that again either - as I'm planning to get proper legless next Saturday with you!' said Jean.
'I'm sorry for being like that, Jean! Let's just look to the bright side - getting proper legless - now that sounds fun!'

Part 3: Life begins at 40

~ 1981 ~

'To Johnny!' said Malcolm.
'To Johnny!' said the rest of Johnny's gang.
'Yay!' said Johnny, sarcastically.
'What's up Johnny?' asked Ruddie.
'Just 40 ... it seems so final. I won't be able to do the same things anymore ... I won't be able to punch people and kick them ... I'll just play it safe and call people to get them to do it for me. I never thought I'd be 40.' Johnny replied.
'Aww, John don't worry about it! I turned 40 two years ago and I still get a bit of violence from time to time.' said George.
'S'ppose - but I don't have a wife or kids neither - I'm just a lonely old gangster who has lots of grey hairs!'
'Hey you've had two marriages - that Brenda and that Lucie!' said Malcolm.
'Yeah but they didn't even last a year - I just want someone who will love me...'
'Let's go down to a nightclub!' said Jack.
'A nightclub?' said Johnny, laughing. 'No woman my age will be found there and I hate to see what the kids do nowadays!'
'Ok - what about a book club?' suggested George.
Johnny burst out with laughter. 'Good one, George!'
'I'm being serious Johnny, loads of woman who are 40 go there. They’re lonely and depressed and read those lovey-dovey books because they have no one. If you go there, woman will be all over ya! If the perfect plan!'
'Fine then - but not tonight. Tonight is gonna be the last night I am going to be the crazy-drunk.'
'Yeah, let's,' said Jack. 'After all - life begins at 40.

Part 4: A call from Karl

~ 1988 ~

2 days after the dare, Jean got a call.
'Hello?' said Jean.
'Hey is this Jean Lanes?'
'Yeah - who is this?'
'It's Karl.'
'Er... Karl who?' asked Jean, confused.
'Karl Samuels - from the nightclub on Saturday.'
'OH!' said Jean, shocked. 'You had blonde hair right?'
'No, brown - why?'
'Just trying to remember as I drank a lot that night.'
'Really - I saw you coming out a couple of hours later cos I forgot my jacket, and you seemed pretty much sober.' said Karl.
'Well, got a fish's memory, me!' said Jean, laughing.
'Yeah,' said Karl. 'Anyway I was wondering what are you doing Friday?'
'Er...' said Jean, thinking. 'Nothing.'
'Do you wanna go for a meal at Henra's?'
'Henra's?' screamed Jean. 'That's one of the fanciest restaurants ever!'
'Yeah,' said Karl, laughing. 'So would you?'
'I'd love to!' said Jean, shaking of excitement.
'Good - I'll pick you up at 7:30 then, in my limo!'
'Wow! I'll see you then!'
'Bye!'
'Bye!'
Jean put the phone down and went into the living room where Naddie was, watching television.
'I am going to Henra's!' she said, giggling.
'WHAT?' said Naddie, turning off the television.
'Well Karl called and asked me and I said yes!'
'Karl - Karl who?'
'Karl Tamuels or something like that - from the nightclub!' Jean said.
'The nightclub - you gave him your number?'
'Well yeah.'
'You weren't supposed to do that!' said Naddie, angrily. 'What's the point of doing a little dare for fun and then giving him your number so he can call you and try make a relationship!'
'Oh.' said Jean.
'You're so dumb, Jean.'
'I know - but he's rich and he's kind and maybe we will make a relationship but why not? It's not affecting you is it!'
'I know Jean - but it's just it was a night of fun - not a night of something that started a relationship or whatever.' said Naddie.
'I'm sorry Nad.'
'Me too. So when's he taking you?'
'Friday.' said Jean.
'This Friday?'
'Yeah.'
'That's our night of getting legless Jean!'
'Oh, well sorry but I can't exactly cancel it - he's probably made reservations. Pwease Fworgive Mwe.' said Jean, in a baby voice.
'Well fine this time! But no doing it again - so what about this Saturday instead?'
'Yeah sure.'
'And no going out with that fancy boy of yours ok?'
'I won't - I promise!'

Part 5: The Woman to be his Third Wife

~ 1981 ~

'You ready, John?' asked Malcolm.
'Yep.' said Johnny, coming out of the bathroom.
'Woooo - Johnny! What have you got on?' said Malcolm, looking at Johnny's outfit.
'Well I can hardly go to a book club wearing a suit can I?'
'S'ppose. We gotta pick up Jack but all the others will be there.'
'K.' said Johnny.
'Hey.' said Jack, getting into the car 20 minutes later. 'Looking forward to meeting your future wife, Jon?'
Johnny gulped. A wife, soon he could have a wife and kids - he could be a family man ... it was so unhim.
They got to the book club and saw 10 woman who were about the age of 35+, (except one who was in her early twenties) talking about a book.
'I just don't get it - why would he kill his own son?' asked one woman.
'Maybe he wasn't his son.' said another woman.
'Then who's was he?'
'Larry's!' said another woman.
'Yeah!'
'No way!'
'Maybe'
The women were all too absorbed in Larry being the son's father that they didn't even notice Johnny and his gang coming in.
'Well hello!' said the woman in her early twenties 10 minutes later. 'I'm Stephanie Chester, chairwoman of this book club - are you interested in joining our club?'
'Yeah, sure.' said Jack.
Stephanie pulled up five chairs for Johnny's gang.
'We're reading Torn Man by Helen Hunter, have any of you read it?' Stephanie asked.
Malcolm, Jack, Ruddie and George shook their heads but Johnny nodded.
'So what did you think of it?' asked a woman.
'I thought it was great how a woman put herself into a man's shoes and wrote just like a man would.' said Johnny.
'Really?' said Stephanie. 'I thought that too!'
Johnny and Stephanie went into a big conversation about the book and no one else could think of anything else to say so George told them all about a hilarious story about a monkey and a penguin.
At ten 'o' clock, people started going home so Malcolm and Jack had to drag Johnny away from Stephanie when they were the only ones left an hour later.
'So did you like the look of that Maggie? She's good looking for her age.' said Jack, in the car.
'Nope.'
'What about Lisa?'
'Nope.'
'Ella?'
'None of them, Jack. The only one I had eyes for Steph.'
'She's at least 15 years younger then you!' exclaimed Jack.
'I know, Jack - but I also know she's the woman I'm going to marry.'

Part 6: Disaster

~ 1988 ~

'Which one should I wear?' asked Jean holding up two dresses. 'Karl's really rich so I wanna look klassy.'
'The black one.' said Naddie, not looking at her.
'Oh Nad - you know I'm sorry, but I couldn't say no after saying yes - I'd sound so stupid!'
'Right, sure.' said Naddie, still not looking at her.
'Pwease Nwad - hey you're faking!' Jean said, when she noticed Naddie smirking.
'You really are dumb, aren't ya!'
'Hey, shut up!' Jean said in a fake hurt voice.
'Mwahaha! So how rich is he then?'
'Well he's got his own limo - what do you think?' said Jean, her eyes twinkling.
Naddie looked out of the window whilst Jean was getting ready.
'Ohh he's here!' said Naddie, 10 minutes later. 'Wow, that limo! It's so cool - wow he's getting out - he's in a suit! Ohh he's coming up to the door - what a gentleman's walk!'
There was a knock at the door.
'What a gentleman's knock - wow he is really is klassy!' said Naddie, giggling.
'Can you get that, Nad?' said Jean, who was in the bathroom.
'Sure.' said Naddie. She opened the door and burst out laughing when she saw Karl.
'What?' said Karl.
'Sorry, just I never thought Jean would hook up with someone so klassy!'
Karl laughed. 'Thanks, I think.' said Karl. 'Is Jean ready yet?'
'She'll be ready in a min.'
'Nad.' said a whisper.
'Huh?' said Naddie, turning round.
Jean popped her head round the door and said 'Sorry, Karl - just gotta talk to Naddie a sec!'
'What is it?' asked Naddie, as they entered the bathroom.
'This!' cried Jean pointing to foundation on her dress.
'Oh, Jeanie - what happened?'
'I was putting some foundation on and it spilt! And it won't come off! I've ruined it, Nad. He'll never like me if I not klassy like him.'

Part 7: True Love?

~ 1981 ~

Johnny and Stephanie had known each other a month now. Johnny still went to book club but Jack, George, Ruddie and Malcolm all quit after the second meeting where they were reading a book called 'Kill Him, Kill All The Men' which sent the women into completely hating men which scared them all except Johnny - who dealt with it in a mature meeting.
'Justice for Her has been my favourite book so far.' said Johnny, at the forth meeting.
'Mine too.' said Stephanie, giggling.
'We have very similar taste in books, maybe we have similar taste in food - how does a chicken curry at the best restaurant in town sound to you?' asked Johnny.
'That sounds lovely, now I've just got to find a date...' said Steph, giggling.
'Haha, I'll pick you up at 8 tonight ok?'
'Sure. Anyway, see ya later Johnny.'
'See ya, Steph!'
He watched Steph walk away and then started doing an incredibly bad happy dance.
'Er... Johnny?' said Malcolm.
'What are you doing here?' said Johnny, who immediately stopped doing the dance.
'I came to pick you up, why were you doing your happy dance?'
'I got a date with Stephanie!' said Johnny, in a high pitched voice.
'Well - well done, John! And I thought you had lost your touch!' said Malcolm, smirking.
'Haha, very good. I can't wait for the date - I haven't even known her for that long but I know I love her.'
'Yeah, until the next one comes along.' muttered Malcolm.
'What are you talking about?' asked Johnny.
'Oh, come on, Jon - we all know you have a habit or hopping into bed with any girl you see - and you love cheating on women and having all that excitement.'
'Not this time - I truly love Stephanie Chester.'

Part 8: Disaster ... again

~ 1988 ~

'It'll be ok!' said Naddie.
'How?' asked Jean. 'I can't get it off in the next 5 minutes, Nad!'
'Well try a different dress.'
'I haven't got anything as klassy as this.'
'Top and Trousers?'
'It's a really posh restaurant, trousers wouldn't go.'
'Top and skirt?'
'Wouldn't go.'
'I really don't know Jean,' said Naddie. 'Wait! It's on the top part of your dress ... so wear a cardigan or something!'
'She's just going to get something a bit warmer.' said Naddie, returning to the door to talk to Karl. 'So what's your job?'
'Solicitor.'
'Wow! You really are taking in the money then!'
'Yep.' said Karl.
'Couldn't lend me a grand could ya?' said Naddie, joking.
'No.' said Karl, not realising she was joking.
'Talk about smug rich people!' muttered Naddie as Jean came down the stairs in a black cardigan.
'Sorry, you know us girls!' said Jean.
'Yeah, let's go then.'
'See ya, Naddie!'
'See ya!'
At the restaurant, Jean was shocked to hear Karl wanted a starter.
'What's wrong with starters?' asked Karl.
'Nothing, they just make me fill full that's all.' said Jean.
'Fine!' said Karl, angrily. 'We'll do what you want!'
'Hey!' said Jean, shouting. 'I'm sorry if I'm not as posh as you but I'll do whatever the hell I like!'
'Shh!' hushed Karl. 'Many people know me hear and I do not want them thinking badly of me!'
'Ya know what?' said Jean, taking off her cardigan and revealing the orange mark to Karl.
'I don't care.' she said, storming out of the restaurant

Part 9: Johnny's and Steph's date

~ 1981 ~

'You look nice.' said Johnny, when he picked Steph up.
'Thanks, Johnny.' said Steph, wiping a piece of dust off her £120 move dress.
'So what restaurant are we going to John?'
'Somewhere...' said Johnny, smirking.
'Johnny! Tell me!' said Stephanie, getting into the car.
'You'll see!'
Steph found Johnny very weird in the car, she swear she heard him giggling and saying 'teehee!'
They arrived at a beach; Steph was very confused.
'Johnny, why are we at the beach?' asked Steph.
'We're having our date here,' said Johnny, stopping the car and then going to Steph's door to let her out.
'Thanks, John - but the beach? I thought you were rich!'
'Thanks!' said Johnny sarcastically, and looking into the boot.
'Aww, Johnny - ya know what I meant!'
'I know.' said Johnny, taking a picnic basket out of the boot.
'A picnic on the beach?' said Steph. 'That's so sweet!'
'I know, I'm just fab ain't I?' said Johnny, smirking and holding Stephanie's hand.
They walked for 10 minutes until they got to it. Johnny put down a picnic blanket and started putting all the food there, and even put some aromatherapy candles down.
Steph watched him as he did it, he was so sweet, so kind, so wonderful - she loved him - she may have only known him a month but she knew she loved him.
'I love you.' blurted out Steph.
Johnny turned round to see a red-faced Stephanie covering her mouth.
He walked up to her and kissed her on the lips and said 'I love you too.'
Steph smiled; she felt so happy, she had a man who truly loved her.
The rest of the date went wonderful; they talked about everything - neither of them had ever been this happy.
And when Johnny dropped her off at her door, he kissed her goodnight - even though he couldn't stand to say goodbye. And neither could she.

Part 10: Forget about men?

~ 1988 ~

Naddie was watching a really scary movie at home; she wanted to forget about how Jean had let her down - but she shouldn't have. The movie was getting far too scary and when a man was creeping up on a woman, Jean walked through the door and screamed - which made Naddie scream as well.
'Why the hell are you screaming?' asked Jean.
'You shocked me! I weren't expecting you back til well late!'
'It was a disaster, Nad! He was so horrible!' said Jean, bursting into tears.
'Awww, Jeanie! It'll be ok - there's some ice-cream in the fridge.' said Naddie.
Jean got the ice-cream out and started trying to scoop it out but it was too hard. She got so angry with it that she went and chucked it against the wall.
'Oh Jean - it must have been really bad!' said Naddie, hugging her.
'It was Nad, I hate him - he was so rude and like I weren't allowed to be myself - had to be posh - but that ain't me - I'm just a normal woman, I don't need to be anyone! I don't need any man! I hate all men!'
'Jean, ya don't need to forget about all men - just him. There's some gooduns out there.'
'Yeah like who?'
The phone started ringing.
'I'll get it - you wait here, there's another tub in the fridge.'
'Hello?' said Naddie, on the phone.
'Hey - is Jean there?'
'She's a little down at the moment.'
'Aww, well just tell her it's Brian Slater from the club and I was just wandering what she was doing this Saturday.'
'Ok - wait, were you planning something special for her?'
'Yep.' said Brian.
'Well, she's free - tomorrow at 7, ok?'
'Yeah sure, tell her I'll pick her up - so what's wrong with her?'
'She just has a bit of a cold and is worried cos she's got lots of work to do.'
'Ok, see ya!'
'Yeah, bye.'
'Who was that?' asked Jean, her mouth covered with ice-cream.
'Stop eating that, Jeanie! You'll get fat and I don't want you to be big for your date with Brian tomorrow!' said Naddie.
'Huh?'
'He called; he's picking you up at 7.'
'But what about our legless night?' asked Jean.
'Well it can wait, you’re important at the mo, Jean.'
'Aww, Nad!' said Jean, hugging her. 'You're so sweet!'
'I know!' said Naddie, smirking.

Part 11: Evol

~ 1981 ~

'So how did the date with Miss Stephanie go yesterday?' asked Malcolm.
'It was the best date I've ever been on in my life!'
'Wow, she must be even better then that Patricia!' said Malcolm, smirking.
'Ah, Patricia - we had some fun times - but it's nothing compared to what me and Stephanie have - she's so wonderful!'
'Good on ya, Johnny! So did she go back to yours?'
'Nope, we haven't.' said Johnny.
'But you said she was better then Patricia!'
'Look, what me and Patricia had was a dirty affair which turned into a ten year friendship - it was a lovely time, really - but me and Steph - its love, Malcolm. We're going on our second date tonight and I'm gonna ask her back to mine and then in the morning, I'll make her scrambed eggs (her favourite) and then I'll give her my key so she can always come whenever she likes and maybe soon we'll move in, then maybe in a few months we'll get married, and then maybe a little kiddie or something.'
'JOHNNY!' yelled Malcolm.
'What?'
'Aren't you getting a bit obsessed - you only just met her.'
'It's love, like I said.'
'No it's evol.'
'Huh?' asked Johnny.
'Love spelt backwards is evol - when people fall too much in love and go crazy.'

Part 12: Love and Mints

~ 1988 ~

'I can't believe you!' said Naddie.
'Whatever,' said Jean.
'No seriously, Jean! You can't wear the same dress as yesterday!'
'Why not? I payed 50 quid for a really klassy dress and I didn't even wear it that long, why can't I wear it again?'
'Because it's weird - two different men and you wear the same dress - it's like you can't be bothered!'
'Well I can't,' said Jean. 'It's a dress for god's sake Naddie, get over it and plus it's not like Brian saw me in it.'
Naddie coughs and mutters 'Traitor to GirlWorld'
'Shut up, Nad!' said Jean, lightly punching her.
'Mur!' said Naddie.
'Huh?' asked Jean.
'Mur, Mur, Mur!' said Naddie.
'OK...'
Naddie laughed and said 'It's your new name!'
'Er... why?' asked Jean.
'Dunno - oh doorbell - it's him!'
'Hiiiiiiii!' said Naddie, answering the door.
'Oh hello.' said Brian, staring at the ground.
'Aww, it's alright, it's alright! I know like your totally dissed me and everything but I don't care ya know, actually when ya get bored of Jean - I'm always here!' said Naddie, winking.
'Erm...'
'OW!' screamed Naddie, when Jean pushed her out the way.
'Sorry about her - she's a bit drunk.'
'A bit?'
'OK - a lot.' said Jean.
'Bye Nad!' said Jean, going out the door whilst Naddie danced to "I will survive".
'So where's your car?' asked Jean, as the stepped outside.
'Don't have one.' said Brian.
'Really? So we're going to walk to the restaurant?'
'We're not going to a restaurant.' said Brian.
'Where are we going?'
'You'll see,' said Brian, giggling.
'Just tell me Bri!'
'No way!'
They walked for ages just generally chatting about stuff until they came to a skateboarding park.
'Why are we here?' asked Jean.
''Cos I wanted to show you something, look...' said Brian, pointing to some graffiti on the back of the skateboard rink.
'Awww!' said Jean, when she saw the words 'I love Jean' on it.
'This is where I came after I met you and that's what I wrote, I was very drunk at the time - but I meant it and I still mean it now.'
Jean smiled; Brian was so sweet and so much better then Karl.
'I love you too.' Jean found herself saying.
Brian smiled and took out some polos out of his pocket.
'It may not be a flash restaurant thing like some rich guy could give you, but it's love and mints - you can't get better then that - can ya?' said Brian.
'You really can't.' said Jean.

'Hey hunny-bunny!' said Johnny, giving Stephanie a kiss.
'Hi hi!' said Stephanie, coming through the door.
'So what was that phone call all about, you wanted to tell me something?' asked Johnny.
'Yeah...' said Stephanie.
'Well...'
'My dad wants to meet you.' said Steph.
'OK.'
'Is that all?' asked Steph.
'Well I met Brenda's and Lucie's dads - why not meet yours?'
'My dad's a bit different, he's very strict.'
'Your 20 odd, he can't control you now Stephanie.'
'You have no idea what he's like!'
'Just a dad trying to protect his daughter, trust me he'll have no problem with me.' said Johnny.
'Fine.' said Steph, rolling her eyes. 'Gotta go to work, see ya hun!'
'Ok, bye!' said Johnny, waving her as she walked out. 'Looking forward to meeting Daddy Chester!'
'Don't call him that when you meet him he'll kill you!' said Stephanie, walking away.
'What is his name then?' Johnny called.
'Kian Chester!' shouted Steph, as she was quite far away now.
Johnny's face dropped. Kian Chester was only the hardness gangster around! And Stephanie didn't know Johnny was one ... so Kian could tell her and his relationship with her could be ruined!
'Eek!' said Johnny.

'So how did the big date go last night?' asked Naddie, at lunch.
'Fabolous - Brian is so sweet compared to Karl.'
'Where did he take you?'
'Skateboarding rink.' said Jean dreamily.
'You serious?'
'Yep, he may be poor but he's so sweet, I love him!'
'Wooooooooooo!' said Naddie. 'Slow down hunny! You only just met him!'
'You know what they say - love at first sight!'
'You're in a dream world, he ain't got no money he can't be no good!'
'He is, that Karl may have been rich but he was an idiot.'
'It's your life...'
'Too right!' said Jean, when the phone started to ring.
'Hello?' said Jean, picking it up.
'Hi Jean, it's me Karl.'
'What the hell do you want?'
'To apologise.'
'Hmph why? Thought I weren't classy enough for ya?'
'I like you Jean, even though your not lil miss perfect - I was just in such a bad mood that day - my song, Jeremy was in hospital.'
'Your son?'
'Yeah, I would have told you about him and my daughter Kara and my dead wife Lindsay but I never really got the chance.'
'Oh.'
'Look at your window.'
'Why?' asked Jean.
'Just do it, please.'
Jean looked out the window; outside was a beautiful baby pink mini with Jean in glittery letters on it.'
'Omigod! A car!'
'Yes, a car just for you so you can always think of me when you're riding it.'
Jean laughed and said 'Karl, your one weird guy.'
'I know, who's in love though...'
Jean laughed and said 'Maybe I'm a weird girl who's in love ... dinner next Friday night ok?'
'Yeah sure, bye bye.'
'Byeee!' called Jean down the phone.
'Who was that?' asked Naddie.
'Karl - he's bought me a mini!' said Jean, pointing towards the window.
'Omigod! See I told you the rich were worthwhile! But what about Brian?'
'Well, maybe I'll have my cake and eat.' said Jean, smirking.
'Jeany Lanes! What has become of you!'
'I dunno,' said Jean. 'But I like it.'

'Kian, Kian Chester Johnny?'
'That's what she said, Rudd.'
'I can't believe this, why didn't you think of him when you heard the surname?'
'Cos there's a million people with the surname Chester, it's not really that obvious is it!'
'What ya gonna do then?' asked Ruddie.
'I dunno.'
'Well ya gotta do something, this man could destroy you!'
'I know, Ruddie - I know.' said Johnny.
10 minutes later Johnny said 'I love her.'
'I know.'
'No, Rudd - I really do love her and I can't bear to lose her.'
'Well, don't - come up with some sort of plan,' suggested Ruddie.
'He'll know who I am though! He'll have heard of me.'
'You've only got three options.' said Ruddie.
'What are they?'
'Break up with her, meet him and wait for him to expose you or kill him.'
'Oh my god...' said Johnny.
'You're thinking kill him?' asked Ruddie.
'What else can I do to keep her?'
'Nothing.' replied Ruddie.

Part 16: In love

~ 1988 ~

'You look very nice tonight.' said Karl.
'Thanks,' said Jean.
'I want to apologise for the way I behaved; it was so stupid I just got frustrated.'
'Yup.'
'Jeean! Please, I just want thing to be normal again.'
'How do I know I can trust you not to think I'm not good enough for you again?' asked Jean.
'Because I loved my first wife, and only ever got angry with her once and that was serious ... and for the rest of the time I was on my best behaviour. So I've been angry with you once, so I'll never be angry again.' said Karl.
'So, are you saying you love me?'
'I guess I am.' said Karl.
Jean smiled; Karl wasn't so bad after all.
The rest of the evening was pure bliss; Karl even bought her air freshener for her new car.
'It's lavender,' said Karl. 'I know that's your favourite.'
Jean laughed as they headed towards her door.
'Well, night.' said Karl, giving her a quick peck on the cheek.
'Night.' said Jean, opening the door.
'So how did it go?' asked Naddie, immediately.
'Great, it was great.' said Jean, frowning.
'Why you frowning then?' asked Naddie.
''Cos I'm in love... with both Brian and Karl.'
'Omigod!'
'I know, I wish I weren't but I am and I have no idea what to do.' said Jean.
'Ice-cream?'
'Please.' said Jean, wanting to get what she was feeling off her chest with the help of a mate and good sweet food.

Johnny opened the door to his safe, and took out a gun.
'It's been a long time,' he said to it. 'I didn't think I'd have to do this so much now I've gone up - but well maybe we'll always be friends.'
'Johnny?' said a voice.
'What?' said Johnny, hiding the gun behind his back.
'Just checking you're still on for dinner tonight with my Dad.' said Steph.
'Yep,' said Johnny.
'What's that behind your back?' she asked.
'Nothing.' said Johnny.
Steph went right up to him and said 'Pass it Johnny.'
So he did.
'A gun? Why Johnny?' she asked, shocked.
'I'm sorry.' said Johnny. 'It's Jack - he's a gangster see. I don't like it but he's my friend and I owe him money and I have to keep this safe for him.'
'Oh... Johnny! I'm sorry I thought it was yours!'
'Ah it's ok,' he said, hugging her.
'Well you do what you have to do Johnny - and if you need any help with money maybe my dad can lend you some.'
'Yeah, maybe.'
'Byeeee!'
'Buh-bye.' said Johnny
He couldn't believe this; now he couldn't kill Kian and Steph would find out who he really was!

'Have you slept with either of them?' asked Naddie.
'Both, and they're still so sweet!' moaned Jean.
'Pfft, I wish I could have two men after me!'
'Believe me Nad, it ain't as good as it sounds! Either way, I'll be breaking one of their hearts and I just can't do it!'
'Well you have to honey, otherwise one will find out and might tell the other one and you could end up losing both!'
'But how do I decide?' asked Jean.
'Flip a coin.' said Naddie, simply.
'Flip a coin?' asked Naddie. 'I may aswell just do ip-dip-sky-blue-who's-it-not-you.'
'Well fine if you wanna do that.' said Naddie.
'I can't believe you! This could affect my entire future!'
'Yeah and?' said Naddie.
'Nadia Elle Something!'
'I'm joking hunny and never use my full name!' said Naddie, laughing.
'Just help me please Nad!' said Jean.
'Well maybe you could -'
Naddie was interrupted by Jean's shocked face as she held her stomach.
'Jean!? What's the matter!? Jeany!'
Jean fell to the ground clutching her stomach.
'Jeany!' said Naddie, dialling 999.
'Nad!' said Jean, trying to get up. 'I don't know what's wrong!'
'Don't worry honey, the ambulance is on it's way!' said Naddie, with tears in her eyes.

The next part won't be coming til Tuesday probs as I have a lot of revising to do, lol - I NEED to get a really good mark on my mark so I get the higher paper. I have a couple of mocks coming up though all that's left now I think is the English ones which are just reading and writing and spelling and something else lol and I also have my English SAT in May so I will actually be writing quite a lot compared to usual as I need practise, though I may not nessecarily be writing so much here but maybe some one-parters :)

OK, so like I'm just wondering whether not continue this script or not...
I have my SATs soon and obviously want to try and study really hard for them, so I wouldn't get much time for writing this except when studying for English. I would be able to write quite a lot in the Summer, but not so much after that and it looks as if this script is going to be very, very long lol. So I'm going to leave it to you guys to choose what you would like to happen.

1) This script continues forever but long breaks through parts.
2) I skip right to the Ruby/Stacey best mate stuff.
3) I give up, but post the parts that I have written anyways.

'Get someone to run him over, easy.' said Malcolm, stratching his nose.
'Do you think I could get away with it?' asked Johnny.
'Denfiantely - though Steph will be really sad, you'll have to comfort her a lot - she'll be at your beck and call.'
'I don't care - I want to be with her and nothing's going to stop that.' said Johnny.

Part 20: Jean's Sister

'How is she?' asked Katie.
'I dunno - they won't let me see her. Are your parents coming?' asked Naddie.
'No, it's too far away. They might come if it's something serious though.'
'What do you think it is?'
'Maybe pregnancy...' said Katie.
'I suppose.' said Naddie. 'But she's smart - it couldn't happen!'
'She's the type though.'
'And what do you mean by that?' asked Naddie, angrily.
'She's a slut, she always has been.' said Katie.
'She ain't!'
'She is!'
'She ain't - I'm her best friend - I should know!'
'Yeah well she's my sister and she used to come home with a different guy every night!' said Katie, spitefully.
'You liar - your just jealous cos Jeany's got two boyfriends and you've got none!' shouted Naddie.
'What did you just say?' asked Katie, shocked.
'Nothing, I didn't say anything!' said Naddie, her lip trembling.
'So our Jeany has two boyfriends... so many people will be pleased to hear this...' said Katie, smirking.

Part 21: The Saddest Dinner Ever

~ 1988 ~

'Hey babe,' said Johnny, as Steph came through the door.
'Hi!' she said, happily. 'Dad will be here in 10 minutes!'
'Yay!' said Johnny, putting on a big fake smile. 'I can't wait!'
They went into the dining room where Johnny had layed out the table.
'Aww it's beautiful Johnny, the flowers smell lovely and all that expensive china! You must really wanna make an impression on Dad!' said Steph, smiling sweetly.
'Oh I do - I want him to know I'll take good care of his daughter!' he said, feeling guilty knowing Kian could be dead right now.
She giggled and said 'Johnny, you're perfect.'
He giggled back and said 'Stephanie, you're too perfect!'
They talked for 15 minutes when Stephanie said 'He's not here - where is he?'
'I don't know - bad traffic?' he suggested.
'Maybe,' said Steph, looking worried.
It was another 15 minutes when Steph said again 'He's not here - where is he?'
Johnny said 'It's probably just bad traffic or maybe something came up - I'm sure he's fine!' he said, smiling.
'Hmm.' she replied.
When 45 minutes past, Steph got her phone out.
'I'm sure it's nothing Steph.' said Johnny, knowing that the phonecall she was just about to make would change her life forever.
'I don't care Johnny - he's the only family I have left!'
Steph dialled the number and was shcoked when she heard a female voice.
'Is erm Kian there?'
'I'm sorry but Mr Chester died 15 minutes ago - he was in a hit and run.'
Johnny watched Steph break into tears as she slowly hung up the phone.
'Johnny!' she said, flinging her arms round him. 'He's dead!'
Johhny patted her back, as he felt her tears falling on his shoulder.
