4th May
Superintendent Adam Okaro (Cyril Nri) is utterly devastated by the loss of his entire family in a fatal car crash, and his grief is compounded by disbelief at the suggestion that wife Denise drove through a red light while on her mobile phone. Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) is assigned as Adam’s Family Liaison Officer, and does her best to console him after finding him mourning at the scene of the crash. When Adam bumps into the driver of the other vehicle, Tamsin Parker (Janet Dibley), in the corridor at Sun Hill, it pushes him over the edge… Will Adam take the matter into his own hands?
Elsewhere DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) re-opens Sun Hill station which has been rebuilt after the explosion…
Meanwhile DC Suzie Sim (Wendy Kweh) works on a PPU case where she is supposed to monitor an abuser just released from prison. Against advice, Suzie traces the man’s disappeared eldest daughter who confirms that she and her sister where regularly abused. The girl later attempts suicide – has Suzie overstepped the mark?
And DS Phil Hunter (Scott Maslen) flirts with DS Samantha Nixon (Lisa Maxwell). Is this a DS disaster in the making?
5th May
After barging into Tamsin Parker’s (Janet Dibley) home, Inspector Adam Okaro (Cyril Nri) determines to find out what caused the crash in which his family perished.
He pretends to be the investigating officer and takes Tamsin back through events leading up to the collision. When Tamsin concludes that she may have fallen asleep at the wheel, Adam reacts with a violent outburst. Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) arrives with PC Roger Valentine and PC Tony Stamp (Graham Cole), and Roger and Tony have to restrain Adam after he lashes out at Tony. Is the Super heading for a total breakdown?
Elsewhere, DS Ramani De Costa (Thusitha Jayasundera) returns to work and she is frightened by Margaret Barnes’ (Annabelle Apsion) chilling behaviour. Ramani realises it is Margaret who has ordered anti-depressants using her credit card and worries that she is being set up. Imagine Ramani’s horror when she is arrested for harassment…
Meanwhile DC Suzie Sim (Wendy Kweh) is horrified to discover that a girl she interviewed has died of an overdose. Her thoughts turn to the other daughter, and she immediately orders her into care. While the daughter is being examined for signs of abuse, Suzie wonders if she has acted presumptuously. Has Suzie lost all judgement?
