I cant beleive you would want bully Phil to win this. I know Ian is a bit slimey, but I cant stand bullies and I think this is VERY irresponsbile of EE to let bullies win.

But then Ian turns into a bully by antagonising poor wellard enough that when he bites him, ian insists on the dog being put down and charges pressed!!!! Thats bullying. Ian knows nothing about cars, bullied Gary and Minty into doing things his way, when he didn't have a clue - at least Phil knew the trade

Yeah, poor Ian but the Vic isn't Ian's because it was not Chrissie's to sell in the first place. The Vic really belongs to Sharon at the moment and when she discoveres this she sells it to the Mitchells as she feels she owes them after the major part they played in getting Chrissie locked up.

Any bullying is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, and should not be carried out and be seen to be condoned by any character as this sends out completely the wrong message. Sorry to go on but I do feel very strongly about this subject

no it doesn't make it right, it makes it real... that is the sad story of real life.. bullies keep going until they get what they want :(

Sorry to go on but I do feel very strongly about this subjectI believe bullying is wrong, but its always been this way between the two characters and Ian has been as bad in some respects to Phil, like with photos of Ben in the past and wanting to get the Arches and the Vic in the first place just to get at Phil and the Mitchells. Like I said, Ian starts a vendetta against Wellard for biting him, which was only done because Ian kicks him, so that in my mind is bullying too....

Im sure this is very obvious... that it's going to happen I mean..

Thanks though xx

I think EE shouldn't let Phil win but good on this for not letting Ian have the pub though.. :wall:

I agree. Scriptwritters please note - this could be a very good storyline to pursue!

When was the last time the script writers listened to us??? Ian buying the arches was to get up Phil's nose, as he said last night buying the Vic was to get one over on the Mitchells.
He starts vendettas but doesnt think them through about what might happen to himself, he deserves everything he gets.
As for Phil, I hope someone takes him down a peg or two, he deserves a cummuppance soon.

I agree that bullying is wrong.......but lets not forget, ee is fictional!

How boring would ee be if all they ever showed was everyone being "nice" to each other?

I defy anyone to watch ian being ketchuped by phil and not laugh!! :cheer:

Why poor Ian, he should've realised that something was up when she wanted a quick sale, so he should've made sure with Sharon that it was up for sale. Then again he wouldnt think to do that, so hes a bit like Billy :D

phil is a bully and will always be along as the writers keep writing the storylines for him. As for thinking that ian may have been bullied when he was younger remember that fireman who was sharon's boyfriend the one who died with trevor. He was at school with sharon and ian and he used to call ian squeal beale so maybe he bullied he as well

Yeah, that was Tom. He flushed Ian's head down the toilet once in 2002 and was constantly calling him squeal beale when he was on the square.

This bullying is very very bad and I cant understand why eastenders are re-visiting this awful storylines again. Mind you with Grant off, Sharon, Dennis, Kat and Alfie all to follow. Its seems likely the doom and amd cloom is back for good again.

For me it makes perfect sense that Phil would be bullying Ian. Ian grassed him up and Phil has always bullied Ian. Ian and Phil have never gotten on since the days of Kathy. It would be unrealistic for Phil to return and not bully Ian, at least for a while.

Honestly you would have hoped that EE writers would come up with something new for Phil, but no, he is back and we are back to his snarling, "tough guy" character again. I gave up watching in when it was coming to the end of his time there before, and it looks like I will give up again if this is what is planned.

Yep have to agree. I hate the snarling tough guy stuff from Phil. It really gets old quick. We can only hope that they take his character in a new direction. But I have a feeling we may be seeing more of the ganster stuff between him and Jonny.
