DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) returns to Sun Hill. Although working for MIT, he teams up with DS Phil Hunter (Scott Maslen) and DS Sam Nixon (Lisa Maxwell) on a murder case. The investigation into the blackmail of murder victim Richard Newman brings a new lead in the shape of Josh Hill (Matthew Delamere), ex-lover of Richard’s. As the evidence starts to stack up against Josh, Phil comes across similarities between this, and previous recent murders of homosexual men. Is Josh the man they’re after or could a gay serial killer be on the loose?
Cindy (Jacqueline Defferary) pesters husband Phil for the results of the paternity test. He manages to fob her off for the time being but when Sam urges him to be a man and face facts, Phil opens the dreaded brown envelope and is shocked when he discovers the truth…
Juggling his personal and professional lives, PC Lance Powell (Ofo Uhiara) works with PC Laura Bryant (Melanie Kilburn) investigating a spate of robberies in the local area. The elderly and house-bound victims all have one thing in common – their wallets and purses were last seen when the local reverend came to visit. But could a man of the cloth really be to blame?
After worrying why Mark (Stefan Booth) didn’t come home the night before, Lance is distraught when Mark decides he needs space and moves out of the marital home.
