The actor, 47, played market inspector Richard Cole, better known as 'Tricky Dicky', between 1992 and 1994.

Now he is returning to the soap world as Vernon Tomlin, a wide-boy entertainer who falls for Liz.

Reddington has initially been signed for a three-month stint.

hope he isn't played the same way as he was in eastender.. he will be forever typecast then.. Liz seems to be getting a lot of love interests lately
