Kellie Shirley arrives in Albert Square as Carly Wicks. Carly's the older sister of Deano, played by Matt Di Angelo. Like her father Kevin (Phil Daniels), Carly's ballsy and unafraid to speak her mind. She's one of the lads but scrubs up well. Kellie acting credits include Twenty Thousand Streets Under The Sky and The Office.

Also Diane Parish returns in a role related to the Wicks family. Diane's character will be sassy, strong and a force to be reckoned with! Previously, Diane played Lola Christie in 1998. Lola sang in a band with Lenny Wallace and Mick McFarlane Diane has appeared in many television dramas, including Baby Father and Clocking Off.

Okay, so correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Pat divorce whateverhisnamewas Wicks. And hasn't had much to do with the family (apart from her sons obviously).

So why the hell are three of them suddenly turning up on her doorstep?

Glad to see Diane Parish getting work, very good actress, The Wicks are going to be the top family on the square at this rate.

I think his name was Brian Wicks. I believe that Kevin and Carly come later than Deano, so there would be a reason for them, especially Kevin, to turn up as he is trying to find his son. I guess what is needed is a reason for why Deano ends up in Walford. I hope it is explained properly when we see them on screen.

We shouldnt hold our breath for them to have a proper explaination or good story lines, as other families who should've had great storylines were wasted

Yes, but I don't think those families were in Kate Harwood's era (or are they, which families are you talking about?). I have high hopes for the Wicks (I proberly should'nt but I do) as I think that KH has done a good job in terms of making Stacey and the Millers into better characters than before she came.
