Hey

As many of you know I have been asking about mobiles this is because I want to upgrade, so that is where you girls and guys come in, which phone do you think I should get- it need to work for a year so if it will break after a few months than please do not say that phone.

I want to take picture and do Video Recorders and a Music player and it need to be able to work aboard.

I can only suggest any of the nokia phones... I have one for over a year and it still works like new. Even the battery has not lost its power..

I have a 3200 I would choose anyone in the Nokia range that suits your needs... they are all good

Ok, When you upgrade do they just give out old phone or ones that are new on town... Do you get an selection of phones that you can get?

I love the Samsung E500, or D500, i think they are the best from the Samsung range.

Do they both have bluetooth capability (not just connection but for hands free too) ?? I have been really surprised at the number of phones I have seen that haven't got it!

A Samsung D500 does but not sure about Samsung E500 as i can not find it on the Carphone Warehouse website.

I like the Motorola flips, but don't like their menu's (mostly cause I am so used to Nokia menu's though), what are the Samsung ones like??

Yeah as My sister has the Samsung D600 so i have seen them

Are they easy to follow?? I've always had nokias really, but had a motorola once and hated the menu.....is the samsung one anything like the motorola or different?

Well i never had or see motorola, but the Samsung menu is good i love it it all on one screen like in the picture so you would not have to go across to each page for each thing they are on the one page.

Sounds good, my contract is nearly up on my XDA and I wanna go smaller again - will have to check it would be compatible with my hands free kit though...

well the Samsung D500 have a car kit, so if you do lots of driving you can drive and talk

I might have a look on a website we use a lot for our mobile stuff (cheap and good deals) see if its ok with the bluetooth kit i already have....is the one you pictured the D500??

Which one to get, i say flip as with sliding it kind of hard to push the numbers but than i say slide as it will be cooler- desicions,desicions,desicions

lol - exactly. I think I'll go with flip though, as like you say with slide it may be harder with the numbers and I think I would fear that I would press the numbers as I was sliding it open aswell :hmm: I did like that pinky flip you pictured though - that looked really nice.....

Yeah that was the one i was going to get- and i still might get it- you won't press button if yo slide it from the screen, it just when i type with my sister phone it kind of slide down but i stop it.

Edit: Its compatible with my car kit - its dual band rather than tri, but I can't see me going to the states too soon in my future, so that isn't going to be a problem :D

I've just been to friends house and she is really chuffed with her one of those - says its brill. I just phoned my provider and they've agreed to upgrade my phone free earlier than they should, so I'll be getting the E350 in the next couple of days!! :cheer: They were happy to do it early due to the impending arrival!!!!

I'm sooo excited, though hubby moaned at me as his has been playing up lately and mine hasn't!! I said he could have my one till he gets his free upgrade, I thought that was a good deal :lol:

Well, hopefully I should get my new one before you've gone, so i can let you know what its like - i had a play with my friends slidy one today, and its really good, so should be able to give you a comparison of the two.....

Hubby isn't allowed a free upgrade till the new year and they said that they wouldn't be able to do it as early, maybe beginning of next month, so he hasn't got long to wait really!!

Tig's - got my E530 today - its really brill - I am currently transfering all of my contacts via bluetooth, but I really like it already!! Menu is really easy, very easy to set up and take pics, vids etc as you want, you can download mp3's etc - is there anything in particular you'd like to know about it...??

Not at the moment, it because i am waiting to go to the phone shop to see if i like the buttons of E530, D500 and the Motorola V220 as wellas the NEW Motorola v3 as i have a thing with buttons

lol - I know what you mean. I tried the buttons on the Razr and really didn't like them, but these ones are really nice to use
