View Full Version : Did anyone actually enjoy it?
I got half way through and turned it off...couldn't stand to watch anymore :wall:
I missed it - surely it wasn't that bad?
I missed it too.. My mum who loved the original Hell's Kitchen didn't seem to happy with it
It was terrible Gary Rhodes was trying to act the hard man like Gordon Ramsay..the people aren't that entertaining either was much better when the celebs were on it
Ah, it doesn't have Gordon Ramsey? Its always difficult when they change the main star - give it a few more episodes at least?
Its' Gary Rhodes and some other (french) guy cant remember his name two teams up against each other and the winner gets half a million pounds to open their own restaurant.
The French chef was stunning, the programe was pretty poor though

i watched some of it but turned over as it was boring.I think that I thought it was better woth the celebs
I started to watch it, but gary just started to get on my nerves! So just didn't watch any more. Nowhere near the standard of the first hells kitchen.
gary rhodes was a real idiot he made me cringe when one of the contestants went to shake his hand and he ignored it, he is a real nasty guy, I was really shocked always thought he was decent. I hope the french bloke wins

i missd it so i wil be watchin tomoros but it dont sound that gd by u lot
didnt like it at all.
BOOOOOORING! lol
It started off slow and I felt like turning it off, infact I did, then I watched it again (Recorded it), but last night's was better and I'm getting more into it. Yes Gary is just putting on an act in the kitchen, I think it adds to the fun, at least he isn't throwing plates of food along with kitchen utensils at his students. Don't like the French chef too up himself. I will continue to watch it. One thing I didn't like too many F's.

The two cooks are Gary Rhodes (with the red team) and Jean-Christophe Novelli (with the blue team).

who got voted off last nite
I have to disagree with all of you - I am loving the series.
OK I know its not the same as the last one but as mordor said give it a couple more episodes and you'll get to know the characters.
Last nights episode was pure comedy what with henry managing to put the beef gravy over the vegetarian meal no wonder Chef hit the roof (and very nearly Henry)
and then you've got the every witty Angus Deayton with his one liners I was laughing from start to finish.
I agree that Gary is trying to be like Gordon Ramsey and it doesnt suit him I am sure once he has watched himself on the telly he will calm down a bit and realise it looks really false.
i was going to watch it but i forgot was watching Supernanny on Ch4

If you were going to spend the evening in the Hell's kitchen restaurant, who's menu would you chose ????
i only liked the bit were the foren guy threw soming at one of the contestants that's was funny
but the french one is FINE though!!!!!!!!
I'd choose Gary Rhodes' menu if i went. THe french dude is gorgeous, but its too fancy for me. Garys menu looks more basic.
I'm ashamed to say, but i dont think the program is that bad. I would have prefered it if it was Gordon Ramsey and Jean-Kristoph-Novelli (sp?). Gary Rhodes really annoys me for some wierd reason. Hes trying way too hard.
ok giving it another try tonight but only because theres nothing else on
I'm really getting hooked now and have started to take a liking to a couple of the characters. Steine is one and the other is Terry who I wasn't keen on at first. Simon is getting up my nose. I liked the way Steine was comforting Caroline after a bad day "Just think of me as your son" Lol. He is my fav at the mo. Can't wait for the next one only prob is it will only be half an hour, I think it definitely needs to be an hour. I like the presenter Angus Dreaton he cracks me up with his comments.
Im starting to like Terry as well, wasn't it classic when he made his 'signature' dish using SMASH !!! :wall: wouldnt you think he could have used potatoes considering that this is a competeition with michelin star chefs and the winner gets £250,000 to open his or hers own restaurant ????!
Well i gave it another chance and fell asleep....think that says it all

Lol yes. Gary was not amused! Well we all know what he'll be serving in his restaurant! :rotfl:
I'm really into it now. God I was cringing last night talk about an attention seeking drama queen "Aby". She blew a gasket just to get jean christophe's attention because he was "blanking" her. Maybe he knows that she has fallen for him. Making a complete fool of herself me thinks. Stein is getting well excited now "Wetting his pants" LOL! Gary has taken some happy pills or as Dermot said "prosac"! Aaron is still walking around thinking he is god's gift to women and just to prove it he took Sam into the Shower..Um..hum..we can all guess what happened there. Shame he has the makings of a good chef. My nominnes to be voted off would be Simon and Aby because of her outburst plus she's not concentrating on food but on lust instead i.e JC.

the french guy is called Jean-Christophe Novelli. I think its rather boring - bring on the tantrums!lol. I thought they won 1/4 million not 1/2 million!?
I don't really like the blue team and agree with Gay's views about them! The only one I can now tolerate from the blue's is Gary. I think that the red team is the better one, even Aaron has grown on me and I think that he could well win. Simon and Aby are still the ones I want out. Then it gets harder.
i think the red team might win

Can i ask a question? If Sam is a single mum with not much money, how did she afford to get her lips done? Is it just me or does something not add up? I'm not to fond of her...i don't know why she just annoys me.

I totally agree - plus she is meant to have gone out with loads of famous guys (according to sunday tabloids).
I think HK is alright, I have seen worse and I do think it's been very funny! But what about the drama last night? What happened? I heard that J. C. (the French one) upset Gary & Stein & they have now refused to work with him. Is this true? What will happen now?
Also, Gary Rhodes is acting like such an idiot, he should just act like the nice guy that he is and stop slagging the other team off.

wow. last night was pretty good though. Poor kelli ended up on her own. Shame that Stein had to go.
I got half way through and turned it off...couldn't stand to watch anymore :wall:
OK Confession time - I take it all back...I love it now
Poor Stein last night felt so sorry for him
Kellie to win
i felt sorry for stein as well
I think JCN over reacted a little bit

I've wanted Terry to win from the start, but now can't decide between him or kellie
Yeah i know what you mean cant decide now either
first i thought the Red team might win but now i think Kellie might win cause her performance the other night trying to calm things down with Stein won me over to the Blue

Kellie Is My Aunt . I Will Send Your Thanks When She Comes Out
I want Terry to win but I think Kellie deserves to after being left to run the kitchen herself the other night. I do prefer the red team with Gary R, he is a great fella. I think that Stein got what he deserved the other night and it was fairly obvious that he was just spoiling for a fight. Jean C acted like a pathetic kid , very ignorant. O.K Gary has acted childish at times, like the other night when he closed the kitchen, but Jean C wins hands down on the childish front. It appears that when one kitchen gets a lot of "cheques" they just go to pieces. (Jean C and Gary R that is).
The best chef won Gary R. He is just so down to earth and has gone well up in my estimation. I want Terry to win and think he may well do it.
Well done Terry and Gary R. Did you see Gary he went mental LOL! The best chef won. I love Gary R now he is a sexy bloke and he had a fresh as a daisy look all the way through, were as JC ended up looking even rougher, sexy he is not.
I think they both deserved it in the end. I was happy with either one of them winning

I would have preferred Kelly to win but I don't mind it going to Terry!
I wanted Terry to win from the start but I must admit on the last night I thought Kellie handled her kitchen and staff a lot better and I was starting to warm to her, so by the time it got to decision time I would have been pleased with either of them winning !!! xxx
Kellie was definitely calmer on the night and overall calmer in the kitchen. Terry got in a bit of a flap but I can't help feeling that there was a bit of the sour grapes syndrome from Sam and Simon, which of course wouldn't of helped. Kerrie deserved to win because of the way she kept everyone together especially during the big blow out the other night, but then on the other hand cooking wise I felt that Terry had come the furthest and at the end of the day he deserved to win over Kellie. Very close though.
I'm just glad that it was an overall win for Gary R.
