I don't know if there was a mix up in the Radio Times, but I read very recently an article which said that Grant had 2 children (that he knew about) Courteney and another one with his wife Carla. From tonight's episode it doesn't seem to be true. There was no mention whatsoever of him having another child. Peggy asked how Courteney was, but there was no mention of her other grandchild. Was Grant having another child a mistake by the journalist who wrote the article? Were the writers considering him having another child, but changed their minds at the last minute? Or are they just going to spring it on us at a later date? But I wouldn't think it would be a secret. His family would be delighted.
I'm not sure if this is a spoiler, because if Grant has another child, it probably would have been mentioned in tonight's episode, which it wasn't. So I don't think it's true. But if you think it belongs in the spoiler section, you can move it.

If he did, Peggy would've mentioned it as she went to visit him when Babara took that time off. So I think the journalist either meant Mark jnr which he doesnt know about or they got it wrong.

Or maybe when peggy went over he was not with his wife and so maybe he never had this child yet, Maybe he just have not told his family that he has a new child (that if he does) as they are all over the world...And it my opions they never phoned each other- only last week did peggy phone Grant

Sharon has no clue, Mark was the only one to know and he is dead now.. Michelle said it was for her new husband
does the new husband know or did she let him think it was his?

It was a one night stand - i think michelle flew off to america the next day or durning that week

She did fly soon after, but I think that her husband knows it wasnt his child dont think she would be that mean too him. although from what vicky was saying when they had a child of their own she felt left out. so dont know how many kids michelle has.
vicky would have been talking about mark jr - michelle doesn't have any other kids.
Vicky wont know anything about grant being the father she'll think mark jr is her step fathers
Michelle and Mark senior are the only ones that know about Mark jr's true parentage I think.

It would make for compelling viewing when/if Grant finds out the truth about Mark Junior. We all know Grant is only back for a short time so perhaps he does find out and heads off to America. :hmm:

(not counting mark jr) There was no mention of a 2nd child. If there was one, surely peggy would have asked grant how they were, just as she did with courtney in last nights episode?
I did notice that grants new gf/wife was mentioned when he and phil were in the club.
But again no mention of a child with carla

The way I remember the baby storyline is, Michelle and Grant had a one night stand, she discovered she was pregnant. She told Mark and Ruth about Grant being the father. And let everyone else assume that Geoff was the dad. Michelle did tell Geoff that he wasn't. She told everybody that the baby was overdue, so that Grant wouldn't be suspicious.

Yeah i think that too - since grant is back (and only for a short time) it's the best chance to get a storyline out in the open about it.
Maybe pauline could know and let it slip??? Or maybe Martin??

maybe mark jr might have some sort of life threatening illness and needed a donor, then michelle would have to tell him.
hold on - i just realised thats is almost a copy of the dreaded ferrerai storyline :eek:
oh well the mitchells and the fowlers would carry it off a lot better - and grants getting a child from it!! yay :cheer:

Yes he did. It's a shame Mark and Ruth's marriage didn't work out, I think they were great together, until she got pregnant by his cousin.
I think even though Grant was told otherwise, there's always been a nagging doubt in his mind about Mark jnr. It's obvious Michelle would want to keep it quiet from Grant, Michelle was Sharon's best friend, and her and Grant didn't get on (apart from that one moment where they had a decent conversation, mainly about Sharon and ended up having sex). He slept with her and 9 months later she had a baby, anyone would question it, wouldn't they?

Your right, he definately said wife and kid"s" and not kid. It's possible, he's been away for so long
if he does have another one in rio and has not told his mum she will go mental!!!

But it would be good too see Peggys face if it was true.
I said on current eppi discussion, it could be his wife's kids and he is just taking them on as his own... it is a possiblity

If Grant had taken on other children then peggy would have mentioned it and they would now be classed as mitchells so i dont see peggy not mentioning them because they are not familly

Peggy been who she is, probably does want to think of Grant's wife's kid as mitchells... she believes that only Courtney is worth a mention. You know what she is like for family. If it doesn't have Mitchell genes, it is not worth talking about

Nah she'd mention them as his wife's children, Grunt is her blue eyed boy so she'd accept them as part of him. So would mention them as part of him even though they arent his by birth.
we all just have to wait and see... but Phil definitely said "kids" last night.. can't wait to find out!!!

Peggy would never have forgotten those two facts that he got married and has another child, so the writers need to sort that one out but since they are in to next years scripts we shall see.

No, but Phil said something to Grant like 'Your very happy in Rio with your wife and kids'. And Grant said he had a wife called Carla, who he'd been with for four years.

a while ago when peggy first left she told phil she was going to help grant to look after courtney as he had had a accident and was on crutches or something but this week just gone he told phil hes been married for 4 years to carla now why would peggy need to go out and look after courtney if he was married surely carla could have done it and i don`t think peggy left more than 4 years ago did she ???? sorry if this is wrong section but i was just confused
Didnt Grant show a picture of his children to Phil when they were in the cafe on thursday..dont think we saw it though.

He showed Sharon too, I think this is just something the scriptwriters have messed up with, they have said Grant has a child with Carla we think, but the dates are all wrong

They havent got the dates right for when Grant left met Carla, and had kids. As when he first came back Peggy only mentioned Courtney and she wouldnt have forgotten his other kids by Carla as she is into FAMILY.
SO the writers need to sort this out or its going to be left in the black hole of screw ups :D
