TV BEAUTY Ulrika Jonsson has split from her husband Lance Gerrard-Wright after two years of marriage.
The News of the World columnist said: "It is a very sad situation—not least for our children.
"And they are our first concern. Lance and I will do everything we can to ensure their happiness."
Lance moved out of their house on Saturday and they both insist there is no one else involved.
In a joint statement, they said: "We tried our best to make our marriage work but we are now resigned to the fact that we should part."
A friend said: "This is all very sad but Ulrika and Lance have had their problems for several months. This is not a sudden decision.
"They have worked hard at trying to resolve their differences but they want different things in life and have decided to part now while they are still friends."
They have one daughter, Martha, aged 18 months, and Ulrika, 38, has two children from previous relationships. Lance will remain in close contact with the children.
The couple met in 2002 on the TV dating show Mr Right. Dashing former Army officer Lance was the eligible prize with 15 would-be girlfriends competing for him. But he failed to click with any of them and after the show was finished it was revealed hed's started dating the host—Ulrika.
Crumbled
They married in August 2003 on the Swedish island of Varmdo, near Stockholm.
The split is the latest in a series of relationship dramas that have kept Ulrika in the headlines since she first found fame as a breakfast TV weather girl.
Her first marriage to John Turnbull, father of her eldest child, broke up in 1994. It was followed by high-profile romances with telly muscleman Hunter and soccer star Stan Collymore.
Ulrika thought she had finally found happiness with hotel boss Marcus Kempen in 1999. But he left her just days after she gave birth to their baby daughter, who was born with a serious heart defect.
And in 2002 her relationship with England soccer boss Sven Goran Eriksson crumbled when he went back on a promise to leave long-time lover Nancy Dell'Olio.
