A huge congratulations to Barbara Windsor who's been presented with the beautiful Waterford Crystal Award by the Institute of Entertainment and Arts Management.

The accolade acknowledges the outstanding contribution that Barbara's made to the entertainment and arts industry throughout her career.

being babs windsors number one fan i cant say how pleased im am to hear of her getting this award! well deserved babs! you've done enders and the public proud!

I'm not a huge fan of hers, but i still think she deserves it. Shes been doing it for so long, and has so many fans

Well yes congratulations, but what has she done to deserve that? :searchme:

She's only famous for starring in Carry On Flashing and EE. There are much better actors and actresses for deserve such an accolade, such as David Jason, Julie Walters etc.

sadly not...dont think she ever have :( but she definatly deserves one as she's better than jessie wallace or june browne anyday!

Anyone could be better than Jessie 'Agent Orange' Wallace but Barbara Windsor is not and never will be as good as June Brown IMHO

you're probably right alan, but you know i have a mini obsession with the entire mitchell clan, plus ruby and sharon... dot hasnt had chacne to shine in recent years...her scene when she disowned nick was fantastic! nowadays she is just used for comedy, and thats not what i think deserves awards IMHO
