If they are real patent shoes. Then there is maintance, as patent tends to crack,you have to clean then with cream polish to prevent this happening.and it takes a while to rub in the cream and then buff them up.

In Primary school, I used to have patent shoes. They got so scuffed and needed polished every week or so.
