Didn't you think tonight's episode with Phil was great?! It was so good to see him back on our screens again, even if it was only for 2 episodes (well not even 2 really). I liked seeing him catch up on all the gossip, although there is still a lot more to be told.

He found out about Kate going back to the police force, Sharon leaving to America. Ian taking over the Archers. Although he didn't seem to be surprised about Martin and Sonia being married, he just ran into the Fowler's kitchen and saw them together, it was more like a hit an run (I suppose Peggy might have told him, about the marraige), he didn't really have a chance to show his disaproval. I liked seeing Sonia stick up for Phil a bit, she bonded with him at the hospital when Jamie died. Phil looked for help from her, when he barged into the Fowlers. I think Phil still takes his promise to Jamie too heart (the one made on his death bed, promising to look after Sonia). There is some empathy there between them.

I am really looking forward to seeing him again on our screens, it will be a while yet, but it's going to be good.

I didn't think Ian would go to the police either, from reading previews I got the impression Pauline would call them. Althought the police were already there before weren't they, maybe Ian just told them where abouts he had been. However Ian will always be his enemy.

A lot of people thought the same as you, I can see why you might of thought Lucy would be held hostage by Phil. There was a scene where Phil and Lucy were in a darkened room together. Phil was quite sweet towards her though and reassuring. I quite liked that scene.

i thought phil took lucy hostage as well. when ian gave phil the keys to the arches and phil went i said to my sis so obviously phil doesnt take lucy hostage then! i was waiting for that bit but it never came!
