View Full Version : Dick and Dom up for Bafta double

BBC TV's Dick and Dom have received two nominations for the children's Bafta awards for the second year running.
Dick and Dom In Da Bungalow competes in the best entertainment category while hosts Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood were nominated as best presenters.

The duo won both categories last year in the awards honouring the best in films and TV shows aimed at children.

Five wildlife programme Michaela's Wild Challenge is also up in two categories - best factual show and best presenter.

Contribution honoured

Joining Dick and Dom and Michaela Strachan in the presenter category are Blue Peter's Matt Baker and Holly Willoughby from ITV1's Ministry of Mayhem .

Author Mark Haddon, who penned The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, is shortlisted for the best adaptation writer category for BBC One's Fungus the Bogeyman.

The show also received a best drama nomination.

A special award will be presented to ITV's Junior Television Workshop, which over 22 years has produced performers who have gone on to appear in Grange Hill and Dream Team.

ITV's A Grizzly New Year's Tale - The Crystal Eye is nominated for best animation and best original writer.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Incredibles, The Polar Express and Shark Tale are nominated for the feature film children's Bafta.

The pre-school animation nominees are The Koala Brothers, Peppa Pig, Meg and Mog and Pingu, while last year's pre-school live action winner Balamory defends its title against Boogie Beebies, My First and Something Special.

The awards will be held on 27 November.
