View Full Version : amusing, but true, complaint
was reading this amusing complaint in "the tv mag"
"i love channel 4's lost, but i wish they'd make it authentic. Take Hurley for instance. As the band of survivors are struggling for food, the man must be eating a near starvation diet and should be losing weight. But he's still as huge as the day the plane crashed!"

That makes me laugh to, I watch it and think 'damn it you should have lost a few pounds". But I suppose unless the actor wants to they can't force him.
The actor who plays Jack stated in an interview I read that he put on a little weight at the beginning so that he could lose it by the end and make it look more realistic.
I thought it may be due to a medical complaint maybe somthing like Thyroid problems?

aww bless him lol. and yeah he has been eating alot of boar:P
Hurley is losing weight, he said hes down a notch on his belt to charlie a couple of weeks ago.
That comment is brought up on the show a lot.. towards the end of the series he is asked again about losing weight... i think it is glandular

Yep it would make sense, its not totally unrealistic.

the dude does look a little smaller, not a huge amount but yeah. But not being offensive to the person who wrote into the mag authenticity doesn't exactly go hand in hand with this kind of drama anyways :p
