Did she not also say that she does not think he will get it? I would actually quite like to see a new owner of the Queen Vic, instead of the Mitchells. Ian and Jane behind the bar would be great and fresh too, not stale like the Mitchells. Won't happen though as the Queen Vic is a Mitchell pub after all. :rolleyes:

I'm with you richie: I don't understand why that everyone at EE is under some illusion that the programme couldn't survive without the mitchells Barbara windsor and Steve McFadden have to be among the worst actors on the planet. Ross Kemp is ok but he can do so much better that returning to EE.
The bosses at EE need to have a masive clearout and inject some new blood and decent storylines without introducing more gangsters and regrugerating old stories.

Apparently he tries to get out of buying it when he realises Phil and Grant are back but Johnny won't let him get out of the deal. I read this in the Star paper last week.

Im starting to like this storyline too. I think that the above could be what leads up to the latest spoilers. Maybe, taking these spoilers into account, Johnny wont let Ian out of the deal, but then he lets him out at the last moment once the money has changed hands and Johnny won't give Ian his money back, so Ian blames Phil for this. Ian and Johnny are unlikely to have had a contract so this cvould be why there is nothing the police can do about the loss of Ian's money.
Just a thought.

How does Ian lose his money then? It said in the week 46 spoilers that Ian threatens to go to the police about the loss of his money but soon realises that there is nothing he can do about it.
