awwww just read all your messages, thanks guys.im home finally, got in at 9pm.had the internet on my tv by the bed which i discovered today but it was so slow etc and wouldnt let me type anything either.
thanks for all your congrats! shannon is doing great now.when she first came out it was touch and go whether she would have to go up to the special baby care unit as she was grunting(having trouble breathing) but by 1am she was ok.
i on the other hand lost loads of blood during the op,then after too.my bp was low and my iron levels too,i passed out twice and couldnt breathe properly and everything was racing, that was dead scary.they kept a close eye on me and i was told id have to have a transfusion but i wanted to try the iron first.im still breathless and a bit dizzy at times but i just gotta take it easy,bp is still low but i wanted to come out today as the boys are missing me.
got to keep a eye on my scar too as it was weeping yesterday and because its my 3rd c sec im more prone for it to get infected.apart from all that we both ok and glad to be home, kind of..its hard cus theres so much stuff i want to do but cant as can barely move, for pain from the op and stinging.boobs are gigantic, jordan and pammie would be jelous, but boy do they hurt!
so much more to say but have to leave that for when i have a bit more time, but as i said got to rest up for a while yet so may get some more time on here tomorrow or tue when i get my eldest sorted for school.cant wait to get back in my own bed tonight and boy it feels good to be typing again, lol, speak to you al soon.

i couldnt turn last night, the pain was just too much.with the other two it killed to turn over or get up or out of bed but this time its much worse, think its prob because its my thuird one and they were so close together where as my first and second two had a 5 yr gap.

Sorry for all the questions, haven't chatted for ages and I'm wondering how my littley is going to react when flump arrives :D
i have been really surprised by him,he has been great.Everytime he sees her he says 'awwwwwwwwww' then kisses her ever so gently or rubs her head.He has been so sweet and not affected at all.The eldest was interested to begin with but now he doesnt take any notice,he has about 1 cuddle a day and talks to her a bit but then thats it so i have been very lucky!
she slept much better last night but i didnt, was in agony with wound, every time i moved felt like i was being ripped open.i had her layed on my arm at one point aND I was laying on my side but on the edge of the bed and i couldnt move her off my arm and get up as i had no room to move and my wound killed me everytime i tried.i couldnt wake my other half up as couldnt move any part of myself with out agony ripping through me and i couldnt shout as killed me too so i was stuck!
it took me about a hour to eventually move myself and i was in a right state sobbing my heart out! come 10pm tonight i expect it will be the same again.midwife came and looked at wound and says it looks ok from the outside just a little weepy but sounds as if a infection is brewing by the sounds of the pain so if it does happen tonight i have to go down the doctors first thing and get Anti biotics else she said im goin to end up in hosp again!
oh and shannon has jaundice too but apart from that all hunky dory! :D

Chance did u have infection with the other 2 ??? the worst part of my c section was the very end of the incison..but again I don't know how they did yours,, cos of how my son was positioned they cut me from belly button to pubic bone not the bikini line,, so the area near the pubic bone got infected the most.. anti botics ( a strong regime) did the trick, saved me from having staph infection which the Doc said I could have had if I waited too long,, sighhhhhh the joys of having babies and mother hood:rolleyes:

they have suggested sterilisation after i had shannon but i dont want to so they just i shouldnt have any more and definatley not in the next 3 years as my uterus will collapse but as i said im happy with what i have now,its perfect but if i get to 30 and want another.......

I am clearly finished at 2... getting too old now and have been adviced by doctor not to have anymore. But I have my boy and girl so I am very very happy to stop now

she has got jaundice,i already knew this but it has got worse.my eldest had it when he was born and had to be admitted to hospiital and go under one of those ultra violet bed thingys.it can be dangerous if they arent eating and are very sleepy,so best to get it checked out and see what degree she has it.yep been trying water and keep her near the sunlight.no luck.

typically as soon as the midwife arrived shannon woke up and then went on to drink 2oz,which is still not very much for her and even less considering shed only had 3oz since 7am! shes still jaundice but not badly, just got keep a eye on her.midwife says shes ok but to watch her closely and if she continues to not take her feeds etc then she will come back in the morn, othetrwise sunday like planned for her last visit before im handed over to hv whom i cant stand!

jojomum bet you cant wait for your one to come now not long 7 weeks it will fly byI'm excited, but can't wait either - I am having to wear the tubigrip more often, can't walk when I am needing the loo 6 times a night and takes me half an hour to get out of bed, cause of my pains, oh and the braxtons are coming thick and strong and my waistline is now 49inches, but thats half the fun lol :D Hubby is scared rigid though bless him - anyone would think he hadn't done this before. Still thinking of the 2 names I already have, but if its a boy, I haven't a clue. Neither of us think I am going to go full term though, if I do I reckon I am going to end up on bed rest. Tried to do some Xmas and birthday shopping yesterday and nearly ended up phoning hubby to come and get me as I could hardly walk!! Still love every minute of it though! :D And I can't believe how quickly its going - only 7 weeks left

you seem to be handling it well,it was driving me mad towards the end,i hate being retricted to the things i could do like climbing the stairs, doing housework with out needing to rest for 5 minutes after but even now i cant lift anything heavier then shannon so still resticted grrrrrrrrrrr, although i must admit i have been naughty and carried the washing basket, paid for it after though.
god poor you having to do xmas shopping now,bet that half killed you walking around the shops, one shop and id of been flaked out and definatley called hubby.7 weeks is going to go so quick,i remember when i was on 7 weeks and it wasnt that long ago at all! cant wait!!

It was quite funny watching me walk down the high street though, walking like I'd had a good session the night before and only just moving one foot in front of the other. Waiting for hubby to come home and then he's going to supervise my bath for me in case I get stuck lol. He's been great though and this morning said that I have now got to start taking it easy, he's going to do the shopping for me if I give him a list etc, bless him. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll start drinking my Norfolk Punch again!!

Aswell as Xmas shopping, I have eldest's birthday to get through aswell - his birthday is the week before this one is due!! He's asked if he can have a few friends over etc, and I have had to say only 1 or 2, but a lot depends on whats happening with me, which makes me feel a bit guilty in a way. Doing all the shopping online though, not going to put myself through what I did yesterday.

Hows the infection?? Any sign of it going?? That is one thing I am glad about - I'm nesting really badly and have been for a couple of weeks, and if I can't keep things going round the house, like washing etc, I dunno what I'd do - though I have bought some of those washing capsules, where you just chuck one in the drum and put the washing on top, so hubby can't get that wrong lol

good idea to do it online else your be no good to anyone.plus the shops are so hectic at the moment,i went in to town today(shannons first outing) i shouldnt have really as im not fully recovered and my wound started killing me as i was queing and my back! so just did the one shop and left,i tell you what took ages getting all 3 kids ready and out the door and ive got a double buggy(one seat in front of the other) but its like driving a limo!!
anti biotics have helped the wound imensley but still rather sore but its only been just over a week,so no miracles just yet.
i use persil washing tablets all the time so much easier and better then powder i think.you should stick to em after.my nesting only lasted up to a week so wasnt too bad,how longs your lasting?
glad to hear your hubby is telling you to rest, its the words we long to hear but we never obey,us mummys always have work to do!

I have a bad enough time of it with just the two of mine, so dunno if I am looking forward to that bit - I think I'll only venture out with them one at a time, like when 2 of them are at school or something lol...I've been nesting for about 2 weeks now and looking around my house, even though its tidier than i have ever known it, I am still looking thinking, right gotta get the hoover out!! lol Then I do top to bottom and end up having to veg all afternoon coz I am aching so much!

I am def going to do everything online now though, can't cope with the crowds (I hate shopping enough at the best of times, let alone when its busy) and it'll stop me hurting so much hopefully.

Here's the funniest thing though - yesterday morning, hubby says, I have to start taking it easy and probably best if I don't venture out too far etc etc and then in the afternoon when he got home from work, I had a nice relaxing bath (helped my hips and pelvis majorly) and then he sends me on a trip out which is 1/2 hour each way!! I'm sure that isn't what is meant by taking it easy and not going too far!!! :rotfl:

shannon kept me up all night moaning so knackered! midwife came at 10am,was goin to be my last visit from her before she signed me off to hv but shes now coming back on tuesday arvo as shannon is still slightly jaundice and is only weighing 6lb 6oz still,so what she lost after birth she hasnt put back on! also i have high blood pressure again!

Jojo
23-10-2005, 12:36
Oh crumbs though on the bright side (if you can call it that) at least it means that you won't have to see your "lovely" HV for a few more days....

Has Shannon's jaundice gone down at all ? I was up 6 times during the night again - hips and pelvis killing me and could hardly walk, at one point I couldn't even turn over in bed!!!! This tubigrip best start doing something to help soon - I don't really want to complain to the midwife as they may make me have this one in the main hospital rather than the community one where I want to go, so gonna see how it goes until my midwife appointment a week wednesday.

Are you managing to get much sleep during the day, or are the boys not letting you...? It being 1/2 term doesn't help I suppose either! My two are stressing me out already! Apart they are great, together they keep fighting or moaning at each other etc lol ahhhh the joys of motherhood :rotfl:

It started earlier with this one, than with my youngest, and my tubigrip isn't helping either :( I'm going to keep watching the Robbie clip and drinking my Norfolk punch from 3 weeks time onwards - just can't believe how quick its going now!!!

On my first I drank lucozade and ate skittle hoping the sugar would force her out but she just kicked me for 5 hours non stop and it was another 9 days before she came out

Jojo

My eldest was induced, but with my youngest, I drank a bottle of Norfolk Punch on the Friday and he was born in the early hours of the sunday morning - I was due to be induced on the Monday, so was sure pleased about that!! :D

There are lots of different old wives tales about it, some work for some people, and others work for the rest of us.

Don't get put off though Jade and Abi - its wonderful - honest :D :D

Good to hear Shannons picking up - you could be right that its the jaundice

I'm ok - can't roll over in my sleep - have to sit up in bed then turn over and do it really slowly or my ligaments freeze and I get stuck and when I sit up, I have to wait for a couple mins for my hips to crunch and then I can manouver (sp?) myself again!!!! Still not long now!! :D
hips to crunch? omg that sounds very painful! got only 6 and a bit weeks left for you, getting closer...

i remember the pain of contractions but i can honestly say it wasnt that bad!! my waters broke after 4 days of on and off contractions and it wasnt until i was 9cms that they started to really hurt! it was the c sec after pain that was worse., but i really have forgottten some of that pain!!

i really want to have another, the only thing im not looking forward to is the constant bottles, nappies and sleepless noights!

I guess I was unlucky to have two bad pregnancies and 2 bad labours... i was section on first after 66 hours labour and only gone 3cm and on the second that broke my waters at 4 cm. I felt like all my insides wanted to come out.. On both pregnancies my stomach muscles were pulled so I felt contaction like pain for the last 20 weeks for pregnancy....

however, i was just unlucky, my sister had 4 babies and if you add up all the time she was in labour it is just over an hour... they came quickly with no pain.. everyone is different

was it like masking tape? with a bandage thing in the middle? ive had that 3 times where they stitch you up and then leave a bandage across your wound for a day or two,but they stiuck it on with masking tape that they then offer to RIP off for you,but i prefer to go to the shower and gently peel it off my self.

It was only towards the end of my second pregnancy that my ligaments etc started hurting and I've been unlucky enough to have the same problem but a lot earlier. I would keep having them if my hubby would let me!!!! I completely forgot about any labour pains etc as soon as I held both my 2 and am strangely looking forward to labour again this time. I'm just getting panicky as all of the kicks seem to be very low down so I hope this one hasn't decided to be awkward and turned round - will find out next week though....
