HE has just proved his lady-killer credentials by seducing Sienna Miller from under the nose of his friend Jude Law.

Now Daniel Craig is about to become the biggest seducer of all -- James Bond.

The little-known actor was handed the job after an 18-month mission to replace Pierce Brosnan.

Scores of better-known actors, including Law himself, Hugh Jackman, Ewan McGregor, Colin Farrell and Orlando Bloom, were rejected.

The choice of Craig, who found fame in the BBC mini-series Our Friends in the North in 1996, will be confirmed by 007 producers this week.

He becomes the sixth Bond -- the first with blond hair -- and will star in the 21st Bond film, based on Ian Fleming's first book Casino Royale.

Craig, 37, made headlines for more personal reasons recently after it emerged Miller had been cheating with him to avenge Law's affair with a nanny.

I saw this on GMTV this morning - I think I would have preferred a dark haired Bond (like he always has been) but perhaps they are bringing in a new era for him - at least hes british though, but I think I shall be giving this one a miss - apparently he has signed for 3 movies, so in 2 years we can wait till xmas and they will be shown then or a bank holiday :D

i think he is in the typical bond age range (altough wasnt casion royale intended to be a young bond?) he has that aura of sophitsication about him and is british, i think this is a promising choice, and out of all the options that have been placed, i think he is the right man for the job

but as they say the proof is in the testing, he might appear good but until the end credits of casino royale screen next year, i will not give him my seal of approval... but look on the brightside atleast shane ritchie didnt get the part! :rotfl:
