what do you think of him so far? i think hes quite funny and the more i see him on screen the more im liking him

He's ok. He gives Pauline more to do than being involved in Martin and Sonia's troubles. I hope they give him a family as well.

I think Joe is a breath of fresh air, a new character with a possible future in the show, so give him 2 months and he will be killed off or written out !

I personally like Joe as a character - Pauline obviously enjoys his company and lets face it, she hasn't had much happiness since Arthur and could do with a relationship whether it be a friendship or partner with someone - because she hasn't had this for years, the only thing she has to focus on is Martin and Sonia's relationship, which really doesn't help....

Derek went back to his family as his son said that he could see his grandchildren so derek wanted to be near them

I think Joe could be the answer to making Pauline happy. She seems to smile more when he is with her. I really hope they marry. I don't see why some people have a problem with romance between older characters. It happens in real life. Dot and Jim prove that.

Em I agree with you on this,,,,I really think she should just let Martin and Sonia go ( after all they are a MARRIED couple ) Actually Joe seems to be an awfully nice guy,, I mean..Pauline could focus on him a way she could not focus on Derek...:) ( since Derek was not intersted in WOMEN that way :o ) I also notice Pauline is smiling alot, and is taking more time out with her appearance,, so things may be looking up with those two :love:
