TROUBLED KATE MOSS has finally kicked the habit—the PETE DOHERTY habit, that is.
On the advice of pals, she's had NO CONTACT with the Babyshambles singer since entering rehab.
Instead, the model has turned to ex-lover JEFFERSON HACK for support. And in an emotional reunion in Arizona this week, she tearfully admitted: "I've been stupid."
We exclusively revealed that the magazine boss had flown out to see Kate after she made a tearful telephone call on their daughter LILA's third birthday.
When Jefferson arrived in the States, the model was full of remorse, telling him: "I'm so sorry for everything. I can't believe what's happened. I've been a stupid woman, but I'm not a bad mother.
"I've done some awful things, but I want to put them behind me. I miss Lila so much. I can't wait to come home and get on with the rest of my life." Kate's world fell apart after she was pictured snorting cocaine while hanging out with junkie rocker Doherty at a recording studio.
As fears escalated over her fitness as a mum, Kate checked into The Meadows, a £2,250-a-night clinic in Arizona. And last night a pal said: "The fact is Pete's lifestyle has not impressed her real friends—or those who love her—to say the least.
"Since she has been in rehab she's frozen Pete out—and she's much happier as a result. We're all confident she'll come out of this healthier and stronger."
Despite their differences over her romance with Doherty, Jefferson vowed to stand by Kate and last Saturday he took Lila to see her.
The couple then threw a late birthday party for their daughter before Kate made her heartfelt apology. Meanwhile, that same night Doherty was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs. Ho hum.
