I've just thought of a brilliant idea! Every friday we post a new would you question, like asking if you would have done the same thing that an Eastenders character has done, and after the week we will total up the votes and then start a new one.

Kat Moon: Would you have slept with Andy to pay off Alfie's debt?

personally if was Kat i wouldnt have slept with Andy because my marraige vows would mean more to me than to sleep with someone else than partner, whatever the cirucumstances. If the chance was that Alfie was going to die, then i'd do my best to raise money from somewhere, ask everything and even rob a bank before cheating on him. I'd rather see him go to the grave knowing id stayed to be vows and loved him wholly than have the guilt on my mind forever that i had betrayed him.

I don't think I would, but then again if you aren't in that position you don't really know how you would react - if you knew the love of your life was going to be murdered unless you sorted something out, you would do anything to save them - it would be the same say for example my hubby or children needed an organ transplant and it meant risking my life for them - I would still do it, to ensure their life......so actually, maybe I would do it if it meant my hubby would live :hmm:

I don't know -- it's not like she slept with Andy out of choice, he blackmailed her into it and Alfie's life was on the line.

I think I'd have probably told Alfie, and discussed a way out of it together that didn't involve me sleeping with another guy.

i would do it. If it meant saving the life of someone I loved then I would do anything for my family even if it means prostitution.

There are hundreds of women who do it for a living everyday not through choice but because they have families to support and they have to survive at least they are not scrounging of the government and tax payers.

As the saying goes you don't have to look at the mantel piece when you are poking the fire.

Because i would really love my husband,and i wouldn't want him to get beaten into the hospital,or even something worse than that,so i think i would do it.

Phew - thanks Chloe - I was starting to think I was the only one who would do this to save the life of the person I loved - I'm glad I'm not the only one :D If all other ways of rising the money failed, I would have done it to save my hubby's life. He got into debt for kath's dad and the loyally towards family is so strong.

I wouldnt like to think i would do it but i think in the circumstances i probably would. if it mean your husband, someone you really care about being able to stay alive then i think i would, if i knew it was the only option. It wasnt as though kat jumped at the chance wihtout giving it any though or even trying to find another way of getting the moneym because she did and there was no other way. any isnt the sort of person who would have let her not give him money nor not give him what he wanted, alfie would have died its who andy was. even the police wouldnt have been able to do anything beacsue andy would have got what he wanted eventually.

of course if there was any other way then i think we'd all do that to get the money fomr somewhere else but when there's not what are you supposed to do? Sit and let your husband die! it would be good to say to him i'm not giving you money when you say ill get it when i've got it and im not gonna sleep with you not playing his games but things arent asd easy as that in real life.

at the end of the day its only a couple of minutes with a scum bag like andy and at the end you get a lifetime with the person you love. i think anyone would do anything for someone they care about and not give it too much though if it meant them dying, its just in our insticnt to do whats right to save someone. if she'd have talked about it with alfie he would have stopped her and it would result in him dying/beaten up anyway. its a tough situation.

I would like to think i would never get in that situation but if my husbands life depended on it or anyone elses i cared about i wouldnt hesitate to do somehting i really wouldnt like to to save them!

I dont know really,I would have phoned the police and tell them andy was threatning him/blackmailing that way andy probly wouldnt risk doing anything if the police would suspect him straight away. Or I would talk it through with my him and tell him i was sleeping with andy and convince him it was for his own good lol:) that way at least he'd not feel like i just cheated on him.

If my husband was alfie I wud let him get beaten up and andy go 2 jail 4 it:)

yeah and i agree with this too.

i mean she did almost get married to him so he was almost her husband. even if she did do it and alfie dumped her for it beacuse he saw it as her cheating on his with her ex then at least you saved someones life at the end of it, even if your not together, you can go too sleep at night knowing you saved a life then to regret it after wards because you were too worried/squimish about sleeping with a evil horrible man like him. even if it does cause you to break up with your husband over it, you've saved a life .

Definitely agree on the no kissing part. I think you can make sex mean nothing, but kissing makes it too intimate and crosses the line into cheating.

I would hope that i would have been able to do something less drastic to settle the situation before it got this far. But if it had come down to it i would probably sleep with andy... I mean I would be intelligent about it and not let him film it, but i would do it.

hmmm, i suppose i would tell alfie about what andy had propsitioned and see how he feels about it. it he had said 'no way, i couldn't take the pain' then i would have thought of some other way or just do a runner.

I wouldnt do it!! There are other ways of getting money, besides blackmail is illegal and the police would have been intrested if they'd have taped Andys threatening.

I know that situations like this do happen but I dont think in the case of Kat and Alife they explored all of the options.

I'd do it but i'd have told alfie before i did it. Because otherwise there might not be an alfie to tell if you didnt do it- and it wouldnt mean anything, and as long as you were honest and not going behind backs then i suppose it would be o.k!

If Kat had talked to alfie then she would have realised that there were other options. if I remember rightly he turned up with the money right after they did the wicked deed.

I agree with those who said that they would talk to their husband, there is always another way. Kat didn't explore the options. Family, friends, banks loans - if she had told them what the money was for and what was at stake I am sure she could have got it somewhere.

That said - would I have sex with someone to save my husbands life. Yes, I would do anything as an absolute last resort.

well just asked my mum the question to get a female veiw,she said if she was kat she would have chose andy anyway,better looking,more money,not boring,and didn't have adopt a geriatic and backward brother,also in my veiw michael higgs was a far better actor than shane ritchie

bit of a mixed bag really, in general it comes across you wouldnt want to cheat, but would do anything to save the man/woman that you love
